Possibly list under a “bigger” seller on BAT
Bat has already rejected the car/me. That option is out. Thanks for the suggestions. They rejected my sign too. .
wow, i did not know BAT would reject a seller. your car, wheels and signs are clearly the type of stuff you see on BAT. did they give a reason why? BTW, love your car!!
thanks, claimed they don’t sell dealer signs, then proceeded to sell every variation and ‘parts’ off of any Alfa Romeo sign anywhere. I have no idea why bat turned on me, as I’ve sold some great cars and did my diligence on any prior sale. If you can’t sell on bat, you can’t sell? So disappointing. So here we are, convertible weather, best damn Alfa Spider available anywhere I’ve seen, and I’m eager to sell. Anyone? View attachment 3342479
I have mentioned this on another thread. BAT definitely have an agenda. I contacted them to list a Ferrari I was selling. I told them what I wanted my reserve to be. They got back and said their experts thought my reserve should be almost half of my number. I told them I could sell that Ferrari all day long at that reserve. Needless to say I sold the car I my own at nearly double their reserve. A sale is a sale no matter what number to them.
I have offered all my submissions at no reserve? This car included. My last world record gaining Alfa Spider sat here for 2 years unloved at $25k and under and then sold for $38k no reserve on bat, it has since resold on Bat at $40k since. So I am having the opposite experience. I can’t sell for anything and then once on bat - big money. and since it was referenced in the prior post, the wheels on this great car are the rarest and very attractive Campagnolo variant. They are priceless really in the Alfa world, and I don’t think peeps realize that. I chose to put them on this car because it is the lowest mileage, straightest, original rust free Alfa Spider I’ve encountered. So I went detail crazy with this car.
I bought one of these with minor fire damage. The owner parked car on tall dry grass and the hot exhaust started a small fire before he got in and drove it off . Afterwards it wouldn’t start . Sold as is .A burnt wire shorted a fuse . Easy fix . Bought it for a song with the intention of flipping . Great little car but my sights were on a 308. Anywho I put the car on Hemings and someone from Sweden was buying every rust free Texas car he could get and shipping back home . So perhaps try Hemings or other international advertising ?
Still available, price drop now $18k car has been garaged, started and driven semi regularly because they like that. Ready to be enjoyed regularly.
