I do not really get BAT, how is it any better than ebay or auto trader etc. They take a month if you are lucky to list the car they either set the reserve so they get there money or claim no reserve and you take the risk of it not doing very well. I understand the market dictates the price, but what happens if it is a bad week in the stock market or a bad news week. They mark up they're shipping about 40% of the going rates from CD. They do not do anything to make the transaction facilitate. Plus you get a lot of trolls that never buy anything making, unfounded or senseless remarks. If you want to sell you car for $100 and someone offers you $90 that is your prerogative to take it or not. I see the value in the big auction houses since they put on a production and vet the bidders to make sure they can complete the transaction. I have sold a few cars on BAT, but a friend of mine sold a $200k car and the buyer strung him out for a month asking for post sales inspections and credits and never completed the sale and BAT did nothing to help him out. He could have taken it to Mannheim sold it and got a an ACH the same day. Re: TR prices I do not really get the disparity. A salvage title car brings $116 I'm sure there was chandelier bidding. then a great car brings $107.
logic would dictate that the majority of winning BAT buyers are drunk off their ___ when bidding. alcohol and FOMO are a toxic combination
Here comes The best 512M.. Interesting to see if market is still going up.. This car belonged to my friend Glenn a few years back...absolutely stunning! https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1995-ferrari-512-m/
i like the wheels but the front and back appearance is a lesson in how to ruin a perfectly good design
The 512m wheels are ok, but the 512tr's are the cats meow! Change for change sake! Put a set of 412tr wheels on a Testarossa, and it looks awesome! Put on a set of 512m wheels, and it looks goofy!
You know, it’s weird. And by “it” I mean my preferences and how they have evolved over time. At one point I thought that the 512 TR look with the painted rockers and new wheels looked ideal. That wheel design. as evolved for the F355, is literal perfection on the F355. And for some reason I really didn’t like the look of the black rocker panels on the earlier cars. Maybe I felt it looked incomplete. Yet for some inexplicable reason to me, I’ve settled on the fact that I think the best look for any of the TR variants is simply a monospecchio with black rocker panels and center lug wheels as designed without any other change whatsoever. Don’t know why, but that’s where I am at this point…
