I musta dd that carlos pace was a bit weak today, he said they lost cause they had no pace, but that wasn't true in Charles case....

...went and did yard work...getting caught up...wonder if Ferrari wasn't betting on rain, starting on the mediums. Thinking about it as I was picking/cutting tomatoes, it's the only reason you'd start on mediums, unless you were doing MED MED SOFT... MED MED RAIN was the plan... and it backfired. but then they adjusted WRONG.

Just in from La Gazzetta dello Sport:
Binotto: "È mancata la prestazione della macchina, non è colpa delle strategie"

If I understand correctly, Matteo-the-Clown blames the car and not the strategy for today's déconfiture...

This guy is 100% delusional... (and probably on RB's payroll)

Take a moment for all the Ferrari engineers and mechanics, toiling away at putting together a hell of a car only to have the race strategists (and sometime the pit crew) **** everything up.

Indeed. The car and the drivers are quite capable. Yet, they keep screwing up the strategy.

Screenshot from Italy's Gazetta dello sport.

Binotto has the audacity to blame the car (yes, blame the ****ing guys that build an incredible car), claims the strategy was good (on what ****ing planet!)

Gazetta being generous with their 4 for Ferrari.

Ferrari was supposed to fight for titles this year and now they'll be fighting for 2nd in constructors and 3rd for drivers - and the way they're managing things, the fact that there are still many races is not giving them any chance to recover but instead opportunities to worsen the situation...

Where does Vegas put the odds that Ferrari finishes 3rd in constructors points? Had to about even money now?

I’m starting to think that since Binotto has been with the team so long, he doesn’t have the pallini to fire his inept buddies.

That's the only feasible explanation for not being fast on the softs - he wasn't trying.

    Nope.

That would have given sainz 3rd, maybe 2nd if they hadn't messed both of his stops up. Leclerc probably could have turned that strategy into a win but they totally went off the reservation with his strategy, it was awful.

Well, as I´ve said, I have to partially agree with Binotto: the car had graining with the softs with this cold, that was the main problem. Having said that, the set up and strategy didn´t adapt to the situation. That´s not the car.

I hope Binotto realizes that he has to use the summer break as a time for meditation.

No, Binotto is on record for saying before the season started, that Ferrari wasn't aiming for either title.

People didn't believe him then; they do now ! ;)
