Was fortunate to have a drink with Scott last Saturday night as we sponsored his car. He is a humble guy with great perspective. Could not be cheering harder for him.

    Race under a lightning delay.
I gather the "shelter in place" has been lifted, but they have to get everyone back into the stands.
Coverage now on CNBC during the delay.

I'd forgotten how spectacular southern t-storms could get.

I just hope they get started before all those storms get here (90 miles east) and screw up my satellite reception. ;)

Has anybody else noticed the new-found concern about lightning? It seems like it’s just happened over the last five or so years.

I think so. They're telling people they can go back to the stands.

Racing fuel has always been volatile.

I wonder how many race cars have been struck by lightning while in motion…

Thanks for keeping us safe, Risk Management!

Nashville has a history of ground strikes by lighting.
I think they were worried about the temporary grandstands.

Sounds like they're shifting coverage back to NBC.
