Am I the only one shocked by how absolutely new each of these cars looks ? Do you believe for example that 0665GT ran the 1957 Mille Miglia in this totally brand new condition ? The Ferrari world turns crazy !
My guess you know there is small group of tradesmen who restore these cars. If the owner wants a piece of jewelry, he will get a piece of jewelry.
there was an orig 250lm and a restored 250lm at pebble. shocking the difference in metal work and build quality. but time alone takes its toll. you should have seen me back in the 80’s

Like to give a nod to Ed. I've seen this car several times in Phoenix. It is breathtaking in every respect. I have to question how many folks at the PB Concours do their own work? Some are check writers, some totally immersed in the restoration and originality of the car. Ed falls into the latter category. I have observed the details that he handles himself... over the years..... and IMHO, that has to be worth something when you step into this arena.
I couldn't agree more! Ed's car and work are phenominal, and his thread on the restoration has been a huge influence. Ed has been a great help to me and my freshly acquired car. It was great to catch up with him and his family at Pebble. Sure seems to be what it's all about.
