Been chasing an intermittent rattle for about 8 months now.

low speed, rattle that does not increase with speed.

it only occurs with top down. With top up with all windows down, including back, rattle seems to stop

    any help would be appreciated

I was going to say have a look at the wheel liners, mine was loose on a 430 where the top bolt was missing. Fitted from the engine bay into the 12 o clock position. Not sure if that would relate to your top through

My F8 had a rattle/squeak at low speed that only occurred with the top down, and it turned out to be how the top was adjusted to sit when stowed. Not sure if you’ve checked that, but could be worth looking into.

Dropped it off with the dealer and they made some adjustments to the mechanism and the bushings it sits against and that solved the problem.

Anyone know of anything I can look for or adjust myself? Or is this all too co plex and should be taken to the dealer?

Unfortunately when it comes to diagnosing noises remotely, it’s a bit like voodoo crystal ball stuff. There are certainly things you could try yourself, but it could just end up that your time is better spent giving it to a tech to deal with.

If you were to adjust the top, I’d strongly recommend having the workshop manual for it.
