Now, if you or someone could include number of GTOs (or their brethern) attending each event, for historical context.
i entered my car for judging to the tune of over 2K and it didn't even include a ticket for my wife. How can you encourage guys to come from all over the world and bring their wonderful cars and not include, at that price, a ticket for a wife/child/girlfriend/lover, etc. lol
In fairness the owners of the event never intended to cater to that demographic. I think I heard the dinner ticket is over $700.
I just noticed they give a 70% discount to Palm Beach County employees, and 50% off to those under 25 which I think is cool. Otherwise, I guess it's a steep but market-correct price if they get the attendance numbers they're looking for.
Hopefully they will offer a last minute FCA discount like they did last year. $500 is too much for me to see the same stuff I've already seen numerous times. I'll just do our party and maybe watch them drive in from outside the gate.
Yep. You can see all of them drive off for free. This year they aren't really celebrating anything special as much as I love the 288 and Gtb4. If they celebrated the Testarossa rather than the 1984 model, it would have been interesting.
I’ll have to check my Amex but if I remember correctly it was around $350 for members. It was a last minute special thru the local FCA chapter.
Well just saw the ticket price for this year. And that leads me to one question… How does everyone feel about Amelia Island? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It all makes you wonder how much the new owners paid Barnes for the brand and if they're trying to recoup their investment in a unrealistically short amount of time.
$480 general admission ticket this year. But in fairness, it includes a complimentary aluminum water bottle and Concorso Event program! https://www.cavallino.com/products/general-admission
Yeah…I think it’s time to pass on this and finally do Amelia Island instead. Sucks because I always enjoyed this event thoroughly and looked forward to it each year, but it’s not worth $500 general admission. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don't have a clue except John had been shopping it for years unsuccessfully. If John could have done what Canossa has done with it, he would have!
which part? it is true John had a hard time selling it and it is true Canossa has made a much better business of it many times over. if any complaints about Canossa, just consider what it would have been dying out under John or a lesser owner. look at Canossa events around the world, there isn't a better event organizer around, especially for Ferrari.
it is too packed shoulder to shoulder. you can make $2,000 for 4 people or you can make $500 for 4 people. I'm not sure Cavallino is the best place to grow the passion for at least the kids, kind of stuffy. Take them to a free local Cars & Coffee or FCA meet if you want the Ferrari angle.
