Now I see what the valves do.
Morning all .... Seeing it now in person all done last night was incredible And hearing it, I cannot describe how insanely loud and crisp it is ... So ... here we go, final pics and some video clips Image Unavailable, Please Login IMG_8813 by Steve Heck, on Flickr Image Unavailable, Please Login 70173470095__1AF748F9-0C26-42B0-9057-510B5367DE5D by Steve Heck, on Flickr Image Unavailable, Please Login IMG_8815 by Steve Heck, on Flickr Again, if you want anything close to what it actually sounds like, wear headphones for this, and do not turn it up too loud 1st Start .... Valves closed, so this is completely through mufflers https://youtube.com/shorts/i8OFrF3aGH0?feature=share This is where I get in (excuse my ugly mug) and rev her up to 5000 @ 123db Again, this video does no justice to how insanely crazy this thing sounds in real life And ... no it's not taking on fire LOL, its burning off the ceramic and the heat blankets
Thanks guys !! So ... the car got delivered back to PFAFF for the rest of the work (almost done) and here she is ... Now I do not know what a 355 sounds like in person, but from what the guys at PFAFF said today, this car is VERY similar but WAY louder https://www.youtube.com/shorts/vLqnwkR6JA8 Comparable ...
Hi Steve, I know very well what a 355 sounds like in person including one like the one I had with the 360 Challenge Stradale Headers on it and a GothSpeed Custom Muffler and Sports Cat setup. And I can tell you when you Rev'ed up yours it was very-very similar sound. At Idle however I don't like the sound very much of your system and I expect that is due to the Headers you have on it. My F355 with the custom setup sounded very good at idle and AMAZING under load and with some RPM. If I was going to do a Custom Exhaust on a 360 I would LOVE to have your system minus your choice Headers Will parts of your Custom System be available for sale by others at some point in the future?
Thanks Cav ! Well if you show up to the PFAFF car show on May the 13th (official announcement pending) you can hear her in person, and would be great to meet in person !! Yes on the questions of custom parts I am about to profile the custom seat bases here and possibly a 'kit' that could be sold. These absolutely slam the seat bases to the floor without any interferance with the sliders ... pretty awesome And exhaust system (components) ... yes this could be sorted out as well, still TBD Cheers Steve
Fantastic Steve! Hmm, I may be able to make it on May 13th... I think we open up the Cottage in Quinte the week before so its not too far from there versus Ottawa. But if I can't make it I have a friend that is also very familiar with PFAFF that will probably attend Keep us posted on the Custom parts, just be careful where you post it since this site can be a bit ahem, nah I can't find a way to say it politely, I think you get my drift LOL.
Morning all ... some updates !! Finally have some seat time in the 360 ... I thought this car was going to be good but OMG this car is way beyond my expectations. First off, some perspective ... Val the chief mechanic at PFAFF reserve (has worked on Ferrari's for almost 20 years) told me after he drove the car with all the modifications that the car was absolutely 'as good if not better' than a CS so already my expectations where high. And then I drove it .... WOW The sound, the shifting, the incredibly improved throttle response (BIG thanks Trev !!) ... hands down the most fun, exhilarating, connected car I've personally ever driven, and I've driven some very serious cars. THIS is how a car should make you feel ... Just the right amount of power, beauty, handling, F1 sound, comfort and connection. A little sample of the incredible F1 sound... turn it up !! https://youtube.com/shorts/Pzbv8EMgNVg My intention was to build the the best gated 360 possible with the goal of creating the best driving experience one could possibly have, and as of right now anything I drive after this would be a disappointment More updates, pics coming after the PFAFF Reserve open house /car show this weekend Cheers Steve
Yes my bad ... changed to public One change I had to make was we could not get the Gruppe M carbon intake to work because of the interference with the custom exhaust ... After waiting almost 3 month I was so pumped about using this and it's a no-go Image Unavailable, Please Login rD8AgvGzJc5KHJylQBHHcup4sioM9_Ig9EY0hDPXjOaMt8Dw747r6yMdbo3IXT4e4MCOJGyXkhIc2WS9g1YptqfC0t_XNpxtysBVdgMMt5GLTXfTkMNXzTAOHAlgUYMhO77T4gTduyeNQ4fK8kAZYw by Steve Heck, on Flickr If anyone is interested in grabbing this brand new intake please feel free to reach out Thanks Steve
Trying something new here with the youtube 'shorts' ... and it worked !! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Oh, and we scaled her ... ONLY 59 Lbs to go ... Image Unavailable, Please Login Screen Shot 2023-05-05 at 10.34.25 AM by Steve Heck, on Flickr
And from inside the car valves 'OPEN' .... and the wife and I giggling like kids, WAY too much fun <iframe width="560" height="315" src="" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe>
And some final details ... extremely happy with the outcome of the interior Image Unavailable, Please Login IMG_9158 by Steve Heck, on Flickr Image Unavailable, Please Login IMG_9154 by Steve Heck, on Flickr
She's now complete, again unfortunately we could not use the Gruppe M intake so we moved on to the aftermarket CS carbon air boxes and with the F430 MAF's Combine this with 360Trev's updated 'full beans' tune she is now glorious above 5000rpm, simply awesome Cheers Steve <iframe width="560" height="315" src="" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe>

How's the logo placement? The bad photoshop of the shield on their product page doesn't inspire confidence.
