I am now the proud owner of a 1990 348ts! Huge advancement over my prior 308, and 328. Love the car. However, the windows are painfully slow and often need manual assistance to bring up fully. Also, the door locks rattle when I actuate any of the 3 window switches. Not sure what that is about. Lastly the Mouse Trap seat belts stopped working. All this evolved over the last 2 weeks or so. I am sure there are volumes written on these common 348 issues. Any advice, and, or please point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

If your new welcome, congrats. 41 posts so I assume you were not on Fchat much with the prior cars. Prob more diy on the 348 than any other model, so that's good news for you. As far as direction, this forum has lots of info. You'll probably want to get used to searching or browsing the DIY thread literally above your thread.

The rattle is probably the window, try "Ferrari 348 window rattle" in google. Lots of threads on the mouse belts too, when mine failed it was one of the ECU's that is behind the stereo attached to the tunnel.

Both seats? Unfortunately, there are no fuses or relays in the system, so diagnosing these problems usually involves an ohmmeter/voltmeter or swapping components (i.e. assuming the same part isn't broken on both sides).

    More info required...

NB: use the forum search word/s mousetrack or mouse track, not "mouse trap" ;)

Thanks you guys, I am new to the forums and appreciate your advise, and directions. I'll try the threads. Just to be clear when I try to bring up, or down the windows on either the drivers side, or the passenger side the door locks clack, and the stems on each door rattle about! It must be some kind of crossover in the switch? Very strange.
    Regards.

These cars suffer from broken wiring harnesses near the the door hinges. If there is any (electrical) interaction, there may be shorted wiring there. The connectors are repairable (with a lot of effort). There are tutorials on this. Special tools may be required.

One FChatter eliminated the connector altogether and just hardwired the wiring together with splices.

The above thread mentions both methods, but there are many other detailed threads on the issue.
