That car only had 3600 miles so I would consider that the new high water mark for a time capsule early 85/86 flying mirror cars.

It will be interesting to see the result of the black flying mirror with 77,000 miles from the black collection coming up in May. This may give some idea of the “high mileage” values.

All very true. Because this old thread still survives, it is good to keep current postings for all the good, the bad and the ugly water marks! ;)

My point was $307k is the highest price I’ve seen for a “low mile” early 85/86 Testarossa. Pick that car apart as you wish but I have not seen any “better and lower mileage cars” at recent auction. The black car looks like an honest representation and it will be interesting to see what it sells for.

Overall I'd check the newer thread re: market values

Both much better cars and higher prices: https://www.classic.com/m/ferrari/testarossa/

Mecum - "One of just 408 built for the U.S. market, this meticulously kept 1993 Ferrari 512TR shows an odometer reading of just 8,730 kilometers, or 5,400 miles, and has received an engine-out service within the last 300 kilometers."

That's an Euro car both by appearance and VIN.

Bat car is also an Euro.

If you haven't already seen it, here's an US car, in a rarer color combo - https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/1992-512-tr-black-tan.675827/

Now there are more black Ferrari 512s for sale than red ones))

One friend said the first Ferrari should be red)

Therefore, I am looking for a red one, without accidents.

As Ross stated, for a nearly 40 year old car, condition is everything. The “without accidents” thing always makes me chuckle. Few 40 year old cars have not accumulated a bump along the way. Sheet metal (if no structural damage) is easily fixable or replaceable.

Just don’t turn down a gem of a car because the owner pulled too far into his garage or misjudged a curb.

Agree. I am not fanatical. I do not pay attention to minor damage from stones and curbs. ))

Cloaked in quintessential Ferrari colors of Rosso Corsa over tan leather livery. Accompanied by a factory tool roll, spare tire, and jack kit with knock-off hammer.
