    Yes it is horrible to envision but one time in Switzerland a man named Illert, the owner of 250LM, smashed it bad so as he was sitting there contemplating the wrecked body when a passerby said he had a Porsche 906 body that would fit if he just hacked off a foot or so of the 250LM chassis. Thus the Por-Fer was born and raced. It had gullwing doors but hey the fiberglass body was 200 kg lighter,

    Anybody got a picture of it? Of course it ws rebodied by a later owner....

    What Marcel said. Now rebuilt as a 250LM and in the USA but seriously there are already so many threads including several where various users passionately argue it is either an entire fake or a beautiful restoration. Search for them and fill a few days doing your research!
