FCA 2024 Annual Experience

I was able to lock in a rental track car for the FCA annual meet. It is a local shop near Road America that does race support. They said that they would be more than happy to come on the FCA days. The cars run from $1500 to $2000 a day. Just talking miata and bmw.
Had shipping damage before and I don't want to risk it.

In 2024, there will be limited options for non-Ferraris on the track:

• Family Touring sessions which will be offered both on Tuesday and Wednesday at $85/session. Cars can be non-Ferraris for Family Touring (no trucks/SUVs). Since there won't be corner workers during Family Touring, speed will be limited to 55MPH and no passing. Instructors will not be available as passengers during Family Touring.
• Instructors will have dedicated sessions, and they can run non-Ferraris in lieu of compensation for their time instructing.

If members want to drive the track at speed with an instructor (with F1 passes), they need to drive a Ferrari.

 

That's a bummer. Will see who else is shipping their cars from the Boston area.

 

I’m whatcha call a “noob” in Ferrari-land, but I’ve ran hot laps at RA in a Lotus and stayed at that resort.

Top notch facilities all the way around and I’ll be there - with a red Ferrari this time!

I heard the other day we have one well known collector who is planning on bringing 15 cars and another who plans on a large number from his collection.
If you have never attended this is not one that should be missed. Sign up ASAP.

 

Interesting idea.

 

I'm driving out with one of my collection of two. I'd drive out with both, but my wife gets drowsey when she drives too long on the interstate.!

 

Well you are more generous than he is. You are bringing half your cars. 15 is far less than half his collection.

There is a limit on attendance so it will be best to sign up as soon as registration opens as a sell out is expected.

Registration is targeted to open about February 11.

We expect a sell out, and some of the events do have hard attendee limits so do not wait to register.
After registering a code will be provided so one can make their hotel reservations at the discounted rates.

Do you know anything about the optional drive post meet Thursday 9/12? like in Bend Oregon. Should I wait for the website goes live this weekend? Thanks.

Yes, there is a full extra day. Starts in the morning and goes into the night.

It will be detailed as part of the website update this weekend.

 

It will be worth staying longer to attend.

 

Details on the extra day will be on the website listed in the previous posts. Like many of the events, there is limited space, so you will want to sign up early. Again, registration should go live on February 11th.
