By searching 4399GT in F-chat you can find out a detailed thread about the authenticity of the "4399GT" which crashed twice at Goodwood Revival. Even of course maybe only the owner has the answer but I think that thread is reasonable, they found out a method to check whether it is a real car and a replica. And in this year's Revival (2023), Lord Bamford also brought 4399GT to Revival but only did a show run with other two GTOs (his 3767GT and 3729GT), and seems the detail is truly different with the crashed one...

According to Barchetta 3729 GT was broker offered quite recently for $40 million. See here.

Seems more realistic and more in line with actual auction prices achieved, and taking into account the new Classiche engine, given the unsubstantiated much higher sale figures bandied about for other examples in the last few years.

Isn't the MacNeil GTO substantiated at 70m? (DAVID MacNeil).

For what I have known (very unprofessional), 4293GT and 3647GT would be expensive than MacNeil's car, 3451GT could be pretty expensive as well.

Now that's a cool shot — and a 308 GT4 managed to get in the shot too!

    sure?
my ex 250 GT/E ( VIN 4911 ) was first registered in 1963. so 5111 is exact 100 cars with 12 cylinder engines behind mine. so I wonder why the 5111 is a 62? or was my car until first registration so long standing at a dealer? marcel, may be you know?

Pretty sure that Giotto in post 1090 meant with "62" a Series One GTO vs a Series Two GTO ("64").

    4911 GT was completed 12 August 1963.
    5111 GT was completed 6 September 1963.
