Not sure if that one or not but have certainly seen photos of a yellow one. Either way looks stunning to me in giallo
Best I can tell, the "V12" has same engine as the 812C, same 4 wheel steering, basically it is the 812C with a new "skin"...3 years later! Remember, the V12 team leader was let go by Ferrari in December 2021 (and replaced by an accountant in January 2022), so, that engine is already 3 years "old", there is no "new V12" (again, from what I can determine) https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/leiters-is-out-end-of-the-v12.652622/ All the claims of "improvements" that "project manager" Fulgenzi (who is no 'engineer', he is a project mgr, look at his history with Ferrari) claims are "true" in terms of comparison to the 812SF/812GTS, but if compared to the 812C it is identical. Remember, the 812C was revealed May 5 2021. That means the SP3 has the "best" street legal V12 engine Ferrari will ever make (i.e. all of 10HP more...) Unless Ferrari hires a new V12 team, this all there is, 3 year old engine design for a new model.
Ok. Are we really gonna complain that this car is sharing tech and engine from Comp & SP3 in a significantly less expensive package? The engine has clearly reached its limit without going turbo hybrid etc. I’d rather they keep it pure NA. Lack of power isn’t what crosses my mind when I drive my 812 GTS.
The point is there is "no one home" in the V12 engineering group, it is closed. So, if there ever was a candidate for the "final" V12...Ferrari is no longer putting any of its vast research budget to improving the V12, and if case any doubted that, it is now perfectly clear.
Yes I also suspect there won't be a vs. Part of me wonders if they launched both at the same time to get type approval before rule changes come in and it wouldn't meet regs. If that's the case then a Vs might need to appear very quickly which would be surprising. Edit: can a car be type approved without being launched and publicly available? I also suppose it would make sense if they did to put the sp3 version of the f140 into it if so.
These comparisons really make me hate the black on the rear of the coupe. Ferrari usually has more balanced designs that are not too aggressive and flow better with contouring. Hate to say but the dramatic triangular shape presented here is much more akin to what Lamborghini does and I really don’t think the visual cue works well on the coupe. The spider hides it better with other form. But this really looks unusually simple and tremendously ungraceful at least in that area to me.
