btw the CEL for this is not because there is actual damage going on, its just because the cars tampon has been ripped out and it wants it back
It’s more of a “recommendation” to check the engine. When it catches on fire or starts smoking is the real signal to pull over and take it to the dealer.

Turbos burning out? It's a simple cat-back exhaust. I've done this on 15+ cars over the years, have never had an issue. Highly doubt letting the car breathe a little better is causing damage.

It depends on what you mean by problem. They designed it to comply with EU air regulations, just like Porsche has done. When you remove the GPF, the ECU knows it's missing, so it alerts you. Porsche at least had the decency to have the ECU not throw a code in the US
F8 turbos are not the same as 488GTB/Spider or even Pista turbos. F8 received a "more durable" turbo. However if you treat the car properly and do not run th turbos hot and then shut th car off 488 - Pista Turbo's are fine.
Please dont compare the F8 to the Pista. The Pista sounds great just out of the factory. Pin the valves and its even better. Have an aftermarket exhaust , hum , not needed. Pista pin valves = yes F8 = cant pin the valves = has GPF. In this world many people change OEM settings. Wouldnt do it on a car so expensive unless you dont have to worry about the loss if it blew up.
IMO I dont believe everyone allow their turbo engines to warm up and then cool down before shutting off. I do.
If you do complete novi exhaust and the other mods like I said then both don’t have GPF or pinned valves (can be valved or not)

There's an improvement and it will fill that void till you decide to go full exhaust setup. I installed the X pipe soon as I purchased the car so don't have much experience hearing it stock. Would be much better if can pin the valves or get a controller.
I just drove the car with novitec exhaust and 200 cell Kline cats. Sounds great, and probably as loud as I would want it. Might add the novitec valvetronic to make it more quite in the neighborhood.
