I am half French half Swedish so don't tell me about north and south differences. Your point is incorrect, I can tell you Swedes are very ebullient when they win. It is that island south west of there where people have been taught since Cromwell's days to artificially repress their emotions which causes violence and record drunkenness... letting the emotions come out at the pub weekend evenings. I saw it countless times when racing in the UK 86-89.
I agree. As I’ve stated before, it seems he’s always involved in a first lap incident and even if you want to give him the benefit of the doubt here, his history just doesn’t allow for it. He really has no place in F1 anymore—if it’s not F1 banning him, the team should open their eyes to the fact he’s just not a valuable asset to the team and in fact is mostly a hindrance. Having said that… he really helped LEC and Ferrari’s cause today with the red flag by taking the tire/pit stop strategy out of the equation right from the start (re-start) of the race. So no opportunity for Ferrari to mismanage the strategy or the tire stop itself. Thanks, Kmag!
Very nice dive by Charles. And he didn’t lose his hat! I wouldn’t be surprised if Prince Albert was next- he looked so happy! Monaco has a second prince, or maybe a new king tonight.
Monaco always manages to somehow not disappoint. A boring race, yes, but Leclerc winning and the podium ceremony made up for it.
When we have traveled to South Florida - this true Italian/European Cafe has amazing croissant. Small and happy place! Pane Dolci Inc - https://www.facebook.com/panedolciftl/
It's the first in F1. Yeah, yeah, not the first in Monaco GP, but it's understandable that something that happened nearly a century ago doesn't motivate him so much.
Verstappen: F1 Monaco GP was not really racing Max Verstappen says he was ‘quite bored’ during the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix as he was “not really racing” due to the tyre strategies and difficulty in overtaking.
The whole Ferrari team did what they had to do and brought it home. Don't think anyone could ask for more. Congrats to all of them. Interesting clip of a duel between Senna and Prost displayed how much more real racing went on at Monaco when the cars were a rational size. Today, seeing what a mature driver and good team player that Sainz is, Ferrari must realize that they just wasted a lot of money hiring Hamilton. If they really felt they needed a new driver, Piastri would have been a much better choice and at a fraction of the price.
We have kind of moved on Marc. Well, some of us anyway Lovely day for my favourite Frenchman, Fred V. I think his approach is paying off, we are improving.
BUT - I will bet you a million dollars he would not be whining this if he had won. It's been a hard course to pass on forever - nothing new there, and as far as tire strategies go, I guess that's what happenes when you drive cars that are soooo dependent on the tires that they are totally uncompetitive if you miss on your selection - unlike 20+ years ago, when drivers MADE THEM work.
Cherry on the cake, like Monaco 2023, he showed again to everyone the Red Bull’s floor .. Thanks Checo !
Yeah, the crash was totally not Perez's fault. K-Mag is a total idiot and should set out a race or two.
Thank you. Took her on a nice run. The 9000 RPM noise is beautiful. Might take the aircraft out for a sunset pass or two as well.
