Thank you! The 512TR is blu pozzi. There's also a black 928S4 above the 993tt which you can see a sliver of.
No, blu pozzi didn't exist until they switched to PPG paint a couple years into 550 production, replacing the similar Glasurit color blu scuro.. the car was originally boring old rosso corsa like most 512TRs.
I love Pozzi Blue! My 812GTS is Pozzi Blue Metallic. Only Ferrari 812 GTS made in this color. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I still kick myself for not picking this blue 512m….apparently Blu Scuro Micalizzato: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/price-reduced-1995-512m-specially-ordered-1-of-501-colour.523128/
It's a really great blue.. Was the metallic version on your car a standard color at any time? What's the color code? Would love to see it in person side-by-side with either of the standard solid versions of blu pozzi.
Hey Omar, yeah, that's a beautiful car.. there were a few 355's also in that color, code 516 aka blu le mans. There were also at least two 512TR I know of, both Australian. Here's one: https://duttongarage.com/Ferrari-tr~40458 Definitely a strong contender when I was considering colors for mine, and I spent a lot of time looking at that 512M thread, but in the end it was too similar to tdf in strong light (it looks darker in less than full sun), and I already had the 550 in tdf. See second photo here, blu scuro micalizzato 355 next to tdf 575: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/136996667/ Regular blu scuro (code 501/510) is very different, a solid color and much darker blue, similar to the original blu pozzi (521). The later "nuovo" blu pozzi (520) was a little more grey, while 521 is a little more purple, like blu scuro. I spent about 6 months obsessing over Ferrari and other blues and having samples made before deciding
Manual changes whole car. Haven't dried 456 GTA but difference has to be at least same level on late MY 928 between gearbox choice. Owned both 5sp and automatic GTS for few years and have tried just about every 928 version except Club Sport and SE. Late automatics are fine but B&W syncro '85+ manuals are versions to have.
Thanks Greg! It was a color available in the Tailor Made Room. I was tossing us between Blue America and this. It different lights it really shows up differently. Under the hood the color is called Blu Pozzi Mic Lucido. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Good to know! Back in the day I spent a bit of time 1988 GTS in Auto and I thought it was an awesome car as the auto suited it's personality!
Love to see that color side by side with your 812, I suspect your 812 is quite a bit darker as it looks very dark even in the photos in strong sun.
Blu America is another color I'd really like to see in person.. I'd eventually like to pick up an FF, and probably in that color thought there do not seem to be many even though it was the FF launch color.
Saw one of these groovy exhausts today-first time seeing one. Didn’t get to hear it unfortunately. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Slightly OT but I saw an aftermarket console cup holder on stevepaa's "for sale"; ordered one and arrived today. Excellent quality and best product that I have had for this application. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks comfy and practice. If not expensive, you likely could get a leather cover that is similar to the Daytona seat design to make it match better
I like the look of that. This is the “cup holder” in my 550. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks great too. Is that tray on your tunnel a factory option? On my 575 its a much simpler oval tray.
