Do somebody has a recent photo of the interior of 4153GT ?
There is a 320 page book dedicated to 4153 GT by Keith Bluemel. However, it does not have 1 decent picture of the interior or the engine.
What race spec is this for 4153gt? And do they remove the headlights covers during the race? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Le Mans, 1963 driven by Pierre Dumay and Leon Dernier. 4th OA, 2nd IC. The covers were removed at night. @nico308 There is some footage of the interior in the above video though not good pics of the seats and the rear interior.
Thank you , I have the book . 4153GT had even if I never saw a proper photo of it a silver interior until not long ago (not speaking of course of the seats) but seems to have changed to a more correct beige/Havanna (like described by Philippe Dumay) like it was when new .But I couldn't find any period color or recent photo of it . The only period photo I have from the interior is from the Daniel Hendrickx collection when the car was show at a Motor Show in 1965 .
I'm sure it will be real although I have not inspected it. The 250 GTO 4399 replica will have cost Lord B far far more than the £1760 GBP (period currency converted) the real 4399 owes him, which he swapped for one of the Promo Bond Aston Martin DB5s for which he is stated to have paid $3,750 US. 4399 is unique being the only RHD S2 1964 bodied 250 GTO. Fantastic car!!!
This is wild to think he spent more on a repro than on the real thing. Do you have a photo you know for sure is of his repro?
Correction: First 250 GTO by chassis number ascension to receive the roof gap/B panel seams was 3607 GT, not 3757 GT. Chassis numbers in between 3607 GT and 3757 GT which are 3647 GT, 3705 GT and 3729 GT were not built with the roof gap/seams. They were added later to 3647 GT during one of its repairs/rebodies.
