Why does it have a new interior if it has only covered 6400 miles?

barchetta lists it as having 63,900 miles when for sale at Copley in 2015. Clearly someone dropped a zero in the current press.

    And a non-original color?
And how about the vintage racing it did post-1978?

It was Lot #130 at RM Paris Retromobile auction 4 February 2015.

It was 64,000... but even so, maybe Angelina likes red?

Wow, this thread was cited by Bloomberg as a factor in the car being pulled from auction! Good work, Mr. Massini!

The newest Bloomberg article you linked provides a link to the video. Very short appearance.

Drove it down a dusty road once is a long way from "once owned by" I think we can all agree.

Thank you, Hannah Elliott, for spending your time looking through all those Guerlain commercials so I didn't have to!

I have a 250 PF Cabriolet Series 2 car in the shop which has an excellent belly pan. I plan to use it as a pattern for a new one for the Coupe I’m currently restoring.
Can anyone think of a reason it’s different than a Coupe belly pan?

Loos like a late 330 engine. Kerry might have an idea at which point of production that round fitting for crank case ventilation was added to the left cam cover...

Dave, Kerry C has an excellent scaled drawing for the PF coupe. He is on this forum at times, or you may reach out to him. Handle: 330GT

John, Yes several people have sent me the drawing in DMs. I have compared the dimensions to the Cabriolet sample and they are identical. I have a very experienced panel fabricator building one.

This mistake happened for a 1958 Ferrari used in 2017 for a commercial.
Think about how many cars (Alfa Romeo and Lancia mostly) have been attributed to Mussolini or his son-in-law Ciano while they never owned them.....
At least Christie's-Gooding had the decency to withdraw the lot!

Nothing to do with Gooding. This was a Christie's-only thing.

Great share with very interesting front and rear bumpers/fenders.

Any idea of the VIN (for the Registry) ?

Les Taylor posted it in my facebook group „Ferrari 250, 275, 330 and 365 Enthusiasts“, so I asked him if he has some history. He mentioned his father bought it from Chinetti in NYC and that it belonged before to a priest (yes) from Newark, NJ. His father later traded it in for a 275. The bumper bars were on it when they got it. They changed the leather from as Les says a „mustard“ colour to black in their time.
Unfortunately he does not know the vin. I asked him.
    Hope this helps
    Christopher

Possible to ask what the name of his father is, color of the 275 and was it a used or a new car?

There were seven 250 PF Coupés in Nocciola, originally.
This is most probably 1491 GT.
