As for the negative silver remarks…..I don’t think red shows the beautiful lines like this. Image Unavailable, Please Login
You're definitely helping the 'negative silver' groups case People, please stop buying silver and gray cars and maybe they'll finally stop making them..... They should've disappeared back when champagne cars disappeared.
I love the look of that silver car above ☝️. Beauty! I had to “settle” for black. I come from & still own a 2017 R8 V10+. Audi tried to copy the experience of the 458 & add in their usability, reliability etc. the early Gen 2 R8s are chasing that 458 experience. I decided not to buy a 458 because this car is available for much less + the aero & build quality of the 488 is incredible. the 488 brings the “scary fast” feel. Find one and floor it in 3rd & you’ll see. Those turbos coming on full boost at just under 4000 rpm make you feel alive. Plus you get to be the dark horse amongst the mid engine Ferrari crowd - unloved but unavoidable. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Grey is one of the best looking colors especially on these cars. It’s why automakers showcase in grey. Because it highlights the lines and shadows better than any color. What colors are acceptable if not grey?
hehe, it's all just opinion of course and for fun..... but grays and silvers match the parking lot, the road and the curbs and I've never heard anyone say, wow, that's a beautiful curb or a pretty parking lot or what a stunning gray overcast day it is. It's just drab and boring...... for me, black, blue, yellow, purple and some greens and oranges are the best for exotic cars...... white, gray, silver and red are for the Toyotas, Chevys and Nissans etc of the world. Boring colors for boring cars
Perhaps being an ageist, but i think younger people like the more aggressive look (cuts, air intakes, active aero) and older people tend to appreciate clean lines and curves. Older people want power but they also are ok with being a little slower whereas younger people will take more power even if it doesn't translate to any real usable performance increase for their actual use. We all love the brand but our age and outlook likely determines our sense of style…and that too changes over time.
I'm old as F lol.(56) It's quite possible that I'm just a little touched in the head though. I like the aggressive looks and the louder colors (on some cars) and black is the sexiest color on cars for me. I also don't care 'too much' about power or speed at this level... they are ALL plenty fast and powerful enough for me.
Very nice silver with red... this was a neighbors car he had for about 6 months. Is was modded with tune exhaust and novitec springs...but silver with red is really nice. https://www.maseratiofwestport.com/used-vehicle-2017-ferrari-488-gtb-c-4420/
Odd to love black so much and not like grey. I can’t do loud colors. Black/Grey/Green/Blue for me. These cars are loud enough to begin with
@Echelon How it was when he had it... plus Novitec exhaust I think he had on it. Car looks to be back to stock now Image Unavailable, Please Login
That 488 has 20k miles too compared to 12k on the 458. I looked at that auction and it was totally stolen...buyer seems to have won a great low ball bid.
