Just wondering, who has the quickest car here on f chat????
Lets see..... ME My prediction as of 3-7-04 @7:15 pst 5,239 members on F-Chat 5,239 answers of "ME" DL
37 years ago my car, not one like it but my car went 3200 miles in 24 hours. It averaged 133 mph for 24 hours. It reached a top speed of 223 mph. That included stopping for fuel, drivers change, replacing the clutch cylinder, and reaffixing the tail which blew off. (Approximately 40 minutes.)
I'd have to say Jim's(Napolis) MKIV then... It's faster than an Enzo (Constantino), has a V8 rather than a V12, and IMO, way sleeker, not to mention the fact that its from 1967!!!
Hah! You all must be joking! By far, the quickest car on Fchat is the: Scuderia Sebring GT 2+2 LWB Carbiolet Speciale
Let's keep in mind he said "quickest" not "fastest". They are different. (There, that should get the discussion rolling) Dave
Indeed. 0-100-0 mph - Caterham 7 R500...currently not a production car made that can beat it. Sadly it'll "only" do 150mph. But strapped to a roller skate that's butt-clenchingly rapid enough.
Quickest vs fastest? Please explain. My '56 Chevy Pickup should do low 10s in the quarter and handle ok on club days. Where are we comparing this?
Boooooo! No, let's step up the BS again. It's me, and I proved it yesterday afternoon. No stopwatch, no independent adjudicator (my wife's biased), no have-a-go-Hervés in Scenics to testify to this...Very, very quick indeed. Will that do?
I'd love to see Mr. Linder in the F40LM square off against Armen in the Enzo.. I think the GT40 would still be up there..
I don't still own it but my old altered roadster was pretty quick 0-168 mph in 8.96 seconds. That was also about the top speed was not the fastest but the question was quickest....................................................
That is fast. However, quick is a different topic. I know of a completely streetable* 9.8-9.9 second 1/4 mile near 148 MPH cars owned by gentleman who own Ferraris and occasionally puruse FerrariChat. *When on street rubber, drag results are on drag radials.
Here's my '67 Camaro. Street driven. Went 9.85 on this pass. (Camaro and Firebird guys know this to be GM's F-body!)
This thread is aweasome. I like the question that was brought up about Armens enzo and Rolands F40LM, that'd be very interesting.
