You could get one or get as many cars as you can get, what would be in your garage??? For me 1. Red/Black-Red Ferrari 355 around $80K ( simply the best ) 2. Silver/Red BMW M Coupe Around $30K ( a must, big smile, daily driver ) 3. Black or maybe Red/ Black Porsche 911 Speedster around $50k ( best open top ) 4. Black/Black Porsche 928 GTS around $35k. ( best GT of all time ) 5. $55k for the mods on my toys.
Buy a 1/5 Enzo (Rear end perferred) and parked in my garage. Wait til that 4/5 of the money comes, buy the rest and hire the best chop shop to weld them together.
I'm with Allan, if I had 250k cash sitting around the first thing is investments and I'll get back to you when I have around 500-600k to spill on cars. Now if its 250k worth of cars, I'd go pick myself up a Porsche 356 1600 super speedster.
For $200K or so, I could get a 6-pack of 308's and still have some change left over. Why 'spend' that amount of money just to fill a garage? Purchase one good car, and let the rest of the money work for you.
I'm with Agent Smith - 355 + E55. But really, Allan has the best idea - get back to work and invest the 250k wait a few years.
In the spirit of the question, I'd buy a Challenge Stradale as my track and good-conditions daily driver and a Honda Pilot or Acura MDX (or similar mid-size SUV) as my bad conditions daily driver and hauler.
I tried one of these threads last week (Dream garage 6 cars ONLY). I love these kind of threads, they are fun to see people's answers, as well as see who doesn't want to play by the rules. I'll assume that I suddenly received an inheritance today of $250k that stipulated it had to be spent on vehicles immediately, use it or lose it, and all of my other vehicles were confiscated. '95 355B ($80k) '96 456GT ($75k) '01 M-B M430 (driver) ($30k) '01 Boxster (toy for wife) ($30k) '04 M-B C-class (driver for wife) ($35k) Or if I could only have the garage space I have now... '96 355 Spyder ($93k) '04 M-B C-class 4Matic (driver for wife) ($45k) '01 M-B M55 (driver) ($40k) '04 MV Agusta F4 1+1 ($20k) '02 Ducati 998 ($12k) '94 Ducati 888 LTD ($12k) '91 Bimota Tesi ($18k) '93 Moto Guzzi Daytona ($10k)
$250 is just about right for a down payment for a house on the peninsula in San Francisco Bay Area. I am happy with the cars I have.
The point was to SPEND 250k on cars!! You investors crack me up. Reminds me of the line from Mr. Burns (Simpsons). "You know Smithers.. I have billions and billions, but I'd give it all up for just a little bit more". Anyway,my picks. Ferrari 246 GT (80k) Ducati 999S (20k) Custom Chopper (50k) Ferrari 355 GTS (97k) Moped (3k) The first day I would ride the piss out of the Moped - most fun of the whole group.
LMAO...!!! i think i'd get a 360 Challence Stradale... i don't need more than one car, so i'd just buy one and if i have anything left over, i'd spend it on chocolate...
1995 (The last year of production) 928 GTS.....with the 5 speed. Money would be no object on "this" car.....I'd find the neatest and best one in the world and never sell it again. 1999 Mercedes S600 sedan. 1987-89 Testarossa. I'd invest the other $100K in real estate.....without a garage.....heh.
its amazing how people on this site totally miss the point of SIMPLE QUESTIONS!!!!!!!!the point is what CARS you wuld buy for 250k,not what you do with themoney!!!!!!!i would get a 1) 360 spider 01 for 180k 2)wrx wagon 01 for 17k and3) a 02 911coupe for 53k......3 great preformance cars the include an exotic convertalbe, a well build sports coupe and a hot 4wheeldrive wagon for hauling and hauling!!!!!
$250k? 1995-1998 Ferrari F355B - $82k 2003 Land Rover Range Rover - $70k 2001 Ferrari 360 Challenge car - $98k
