Red Enzo zooming round Mallory Park yesterday lunchtime. Sounded wonderful. I'll told it was the track owners' car. The driver was not holding back either. Pretty ballsy considering the track conditions. They had the snow plow out in the morning to clear the track enough to be useable. Made my effort in the Vee seem very ordinary. I think the owners' name is Mr Meeks, I think? Anyway. I take my hat off to you Sir, Great effort. Wazza ps. Sorry guys no photos
that is the car that was on the ferrari stand at the autosport show it is chris meeks ex ferrari factory driver nice bloke
Chris Meek was a very useful circuit racer in the 70's, now a big Leeds area property developer and circuit owner. Good to hear he is a Ferrari man.
I can confirm that the Enzo was stored at Jct in Leeds prior to Chris taking delivery, in November 2003 it was due to be the centre piece of the FOC stand at the NEC Classic Car show. But due to logistical problems and costs I had to decline Chris`s generous offer of the car for the stand. Chris is a long time Ferrari owner and once owned a white BB 512 with red interior among others. Chris does not take any prisoners when driving and it is said on a Cannonball resorted to using the grass verge to overtake slower cars in his Ferrari. All hail the man. Phil.
