A bunch of my mini friends were out on a moutain run a few weeks ago. They took pics of a Red 360 coupe attached below. I thought maybe it was your car by looking at the seats. Woule be interested to know if you were out that day 2/15/04 I believe. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Jimmy how does the Ferrari feel compared to your BMW in terms of acceleration and overall performance. ??
I even beat a Viper (the guy has a Venom chip too) See here: http://www.jimmy540i.com/californiaspeedway.htm I wonder what my new 360 can do @ California Speedway....
MCS=mini cooper S SC=single turbo sc300, supra brakes, tein suspension, 6spd take 5 north, to 14north, exit on pearblossom highway. the import guys have their big races there every year, 8, 9 second hondas and rx7s. But on wed and friday night you can run all night, not too much traffic for 20 bucks. Nice cold weather great for hi po cars If you ever see me say hi.
Cool Jimmy... One day I might come and check out the 996 in person if you dont mind Senna, no doubt..one of the most stunning 360s on the road belongs to jimmy.
I know his 540 is faster but how does the Ferrari feel at higher speeds, handling and pull wise etc. Great color combo the wheels are nice to.
Jimmy, Saw your thread at the Ducat chat at speedzilla.zeroforum.com. Sorry that everyone is treating you like that. The flat tires are pretty much due to bad luck, although you should check to make sure that you are running correct tire pressures. The Pilot Sports are better handling tires than Metzeler's I have found, despite being told the opposite. Neither has any flat protection. I get about 1700 miles out of a set of a set of street tires before they need replacing so I would think that your tires are ready to go anyway. Hope this helps.
The 540i is quieter (with an occational Supercharged Whine which I really like), it feels like 45 while doing 85. The Ferrari is indeed louder (thanks to Tubi) and very quick due to its light weight. I have not tried my 360 at the dragstrip, I will take some time to do so and post results. The only mistake I've made in buying the BMW a few years ago is that I didn't wait 3 more month to get a 6-Speed Manual (yes..yes..yes... all my 3 BMWs are AUTOMATIC, I've heard enough... ) So... It took me a long time to find a 6-Speed 360 Coupe, and it's a good one too. Worth every penny.
Thanks for the tips, as for some individuals at the Ducati forum, I'm really okay with them because the world is full of different level of cars, bikes and people.
Just curious. What modifications have you made to your 540? What is the HP at the rear wheels? Quarter mile times? Thanks!
hey Jimmy, you have some amazing cars. just a quick question, are the daytona style seats comfortable?
