To make it feel a little more like "home", I thought I'd put a few of our old pictures back up on the walls.
Check out the thread from 'the other Rob', the beast in the general forum. He figured it out: You need to setup some server space on the internet where you place your pics. Then you link via the URL to your FChat post. That way the pics will be visible immediately. If you attach the pics to your thread only 'thumbnails' with false colors will appear. I think I'll have to setup something on a web site to have a repository for pics I want to post here. The thumbnail deal is a bit cumbersome.
O.K. NOW I Will NEVER be able to post pictures! I was JUST about able to figure out how to do it on the old site, and now it's changed, and it appears to be harder to do,now. Oh well. ...Change is good...right?
Ok, so let's see: I setup a free account with www.photobucket.com and uploaded one picture. Now I'll try to link the url here to it:
here you go tifosi... you didnt need to add the tags... [IMG] [url]www.photobucket.com/albums/1003/tifosi12/2725f56c.jpg[/IMG]
Aaahh man, thats messed up! the URL tags get automatically added when it gets posted. Even happened when i tried to edit the post. Maybe we got a software glitch???
Rob, thanks for that shot. Love it! Didn't realize my car was so oogled on, hehe. Greg, that's just what happened to me, those darn URLs would show up automatically. I didn't put them there. Rob, what's the secret?
Ha! How about that?! Only thing I did different this time was a fresh reboot and no preview mode. Dunno whether that had any influence but that darn /URL comments didn't appear. Kewl! Let's deck the halls!
Andreas; Looks like you got it figured out I took that picture of your car perhaps 5 mins before i ran into you while i was driving out of the lot. It is a small world for sure. I found that out last night, but that is another story Enjoy your sunday. Rob Guess "The Other Rob"
Well, just when we figured it out Rob throws us another curve ball. The image is gone (it still shows if you click on the link). So let's try something else:
