Gentlemen, As I mentioned some time ago already I still have the idea to organize an informal "get together" for all our friends at Ferrarichat. I was thinking about a meeting at my father's restaurant in Overpelt, which is a great location with private parking and a cosy interior. ( Located 100km from Brussels, 30km from Eindhoven, 80km from Aachen ) What I need now is some input from you guys! What do you think. I know that the new season is slowly starting and that there are already a lot of events planned for each one of us. Best case scenario would be that everybody could attend, Wolfgang, Alex, Roel, Vincent, Waldo, Bertus, Ton, Guy, Morcal, Bart and all the others I forget. Please bring your friends with you and let's make it an unforgetable event for all of us. First question : When ? May or June maybe ? Rev the engines !!! Joren REMANS
Joren, You know i'll be there (as long as it's not during my exams) so just pick a date and the rest will react and i'm sure there is going to be some consensus.
Very good idea Joren . What about April? April and June normally aren't a problem for me. I'll try to settle to the date you choose. Maybe during a F1 weekend so we all can support our team together (San Marino?, Spain?, Canada?, US?) ? Just an idea, I don't know if everyone likes F1 that much? But I just won't be in Europe from 14th 'til 27th of May, will be back just in time for Spa Ferrari Days Maybe you just pick a date like Bertus said, if I can't be there, I'll see you all at another event. Greets, Alex.
Joren, yes, just pick a date or maybe two and lets see whats going on. Just a few questions for the "foreigners" Is there a Hotel close to the Restaurant with security parking to log in for 1 night?
Absolutely, great idea to link it with F1 25/4 : GP San Marino 09/5 : GP Spain 23/5 : GP Monaco 30/5 : GP Nürburgring 13/6 : GP Canada 20/6 : GP US
Bahrein is too early in the morning to meet. !!!! 30th of May = Spa Ferrari Days!!!! And I'll see the Monaco GP in Asia. That's why I didn't list those.
Joren, fine to me. By the way, will the gentleman of the red F40 JPH030 will attend? We had nice time at SPA last June. Cal Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yep, thats a great pic from the F40 on the spa race track. But please, next time dismount your windscreen wipers B4
No, Machiels has a race-prepped F40. (Besides the F50, 355 Challenge, 348 TS, Testarossa & Mondial T cabriolet) I can invite him also of course : Nice pictures Morcal, love those live scenes.... I have seen that F40 also already but don't know who is. You should invite him!!! Joren REMANS
Do not know him personally, much too fast for me to catch the F40 in Spa. For the lovers of action another shot. Wolfgang, admit wipers are ugly , next time will arrange for a reasonable camera stand . I was around with the Dino this morning, after 10 days trip in the US and was a pleasure to drive the car ( as usual ). Went to G.P. Ori shop for the maintenance rendez-vous, nice location and competent guy ( talked to Christophe , you have his regards ). Thanks Cal Image Unavailable, Please Login
You should definetely invite him also (Machiels this is) always nice when you have a F50 in the group (or the rest of his impressive collection Fcars)
Thanks again, we all love to see this wonderful LIVE pics! I will try to upload some from last year Nürburgring F1 track..wait a bit - you gave me the thrill
Wolfgang, nice shots, I see you have been exposed to wipers matter already.... Last picture ( not really good quality ) to show that the guys were not just joking. By 2 in the chicane is though even for professionals. Cal Image Unavailable, Please Login
@ Morcal : Great to hear that you went to Gian Piero shop today! I am sure that they have the best knowledge for maintaining your Ferrari here in Belgium. We have to meet soon ! @ Wolfgang : What a thrill that must be!!! Driving a Ferrari OK, but driving with several Ferraris on a track...... Woow !!! Must look out !!! JR
Nice pics Wolfgang I've got here also some pics i took on the Ferrari 360 Challenge in Misano a few years ago but i'll have to find a scanner first to post them
Thanks gents, yes it was a wonderful day together with our Swiss friends from fchat.com (Trevi, Simon & Andrea). But the Nürburgring F1 is an easy, easy track to drive. Spa...pfffff its a damn hard-rock track I miss it on the GP session this year I have always called Spa the "little" Nordschleife. You must drive it a hundred times or more to get a good lap time!!!
Hey, Wolfgang, if you're talking 'bout the F1 event, Francorchamps is back on this year I guess you meant you missed it last year? It really is a great track. Greets, Alex.
Thanks Alex, for sure I meant last year...was just with my thoughts driving around this beautiful race-track. Hope I can drive again there this year with my "beast". Last time I have been there with my 308.
Wolfgang, That's what I thought I will be delighted to see and hear you driving your Testa through Eau Rouge, chasing and followed by all the other jewels from Maranello... Greets, Alex.
