Understand that there are many variations for Daytona seats eg. colour combo, piping colour, threading colour etc. Post your pics here. I would also like to hear from owners if this is an worthwhile option to pay.
Jenzo These are not Daytona seats. They are seats with a Daytona pattern. Only Terry's photo applies. "A Daytona seat is one in which you feel how many dollar bills are in your back pocket" (Didn't BillB say this?). Flame away Rijk
No... they are not. The pic I posted is from my Daytona. These are "REAL" Daytona seats. They do not recline. They do hug your hips (I remove my wallet to drive otherwise its uncomfortable). They are among the best seats I have ever enjoyed in a sportscar. The other pics posted are of modern seats with a center pattern similar to that of real Daytona seats. But that does not make them the real thing..... Terry
Obviously he asked the question about the"modern daytona" seats as he asked if they were a worth while option on the newer cars. If the option from Ferrari is called Daytona seat option, then they are Daytona seats as well. FWIW I think they look much better than the plain Jane seats. When paying that much for a car, I don't know why anyone would skimp on this option.
I think the question was whether Daytona seats (sic) are a worthwhile option on a newer car... I would think from the appearance point of view - and that dealers always point out 'Daytona seats' on pre-owned 550s, 575s & 360s - the answer must be 'yes'... ...And especially if they're as comfortable as the original items...! John
I always go to the infield for the 24 hrs-get to meet some teams, etc. Oops! What is so great about these seats? I prefer more support w/ ergo shape.
Jeff, So, I guess they are now Daytona seats, because some marketing guy/gal decided that that would be another way to rake in money from their customers. Like you can now get "faux" Louis XIV dining chairs. Maybe something a lot of people would buy, but that does not make them "real" in my book. Rijk
The same thing can be said about the new 612, but at the end of the day it is still a Ferrari. "Daytona" refers to a specific style and since they were modeled after the original Daytona seats why can they not be considered Daytona seats anymore? A 2004 corvette looks nothing like a 69 but they both are still corvettes.
People argue about the funniest things. Ferrari calls them "Daytona Seats"... therefore they ARE "Daytona Seats". To argue against people using the term Ferrari uses is just silly. They are "Daytona Seats", but they aren't "seats from a Daytona". Okay?
Oh, and to the query... I think the Daytona seats look great... before I changed my order from 360 to CS, I had on order Daytona seats in two-tone light gray and dark gray (with Titanium exterior). Sorry, no pictures... never got that far. I'm sure others will have pictures... there are many on the forum already, but they'd be tough to find (since you can't search on image content).
Hey Jimmy, I just wanted to tell you how much I love your car, it has to be the nicest 360, at least interior. good job!
FjO is right, it is a truely beautiful combo. Found some pictures of Daytona seats from previous threads. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
