Well here they are... I have to admit , blue looks way better than yellow on the 612. I say the same thing about the Murci.. each time I see it However, the Gallardo is growing on me ( I know Huh?) Especially the color Wayne chose, Wow!
thers a reason for that. the engine is place behind the front axle for superior road handling and 46/54 weight distrubution. the car looks better, the design is interesting, im sure it will look better in real life
The BMW 6-series also has a really long hood. If you look closely, you can see on the BMW that there's at least 1 foot to 1.5 feet of nothingness between the front of the nose and the radiators. It's just empty space... As for the Scag... it really doesn't look that bad in these pics. But it doesn't look like a Ferrari.
These Asian car designers are ruining Ferrari history. Ferraris used to look so pretty in the old days. The 612 is as long as a Suburban and has a wheelbase longer than a Yukon.(im pretty sure) Its just not a good looking Ferrari, maybe in person, but not anywhere else.
I have to disagree on that. The rear end is the only thing that looks Ferrarish. The rest is just f-in ugly.
Yeah it has those original Ferrari rear lights (round lights) and with the 4 pipes but I don't know there's something about it I don't like. But don't get me wrong ..the rear end isn't the main reason why this car is not a succes. Note : the front is smilling at you and the car in general is too big and too long. Maybe I should see it first in real life before criticizing.
actually the front engine V12 ferraris are more so the good ol' days than the mid 12's. ferrari went back to their heritage with 550 (front V12) when the switched from the mid 12's. i think that some day that they will go back to the mid 12's when that era becomes the good old days. i think that the 612 looks good in these pics, and ill go on the record as liking this design.
Nice color.....shame about the car. I always see late 50's/early 60's Vette's in the fender shape of the 612......and gawd knows what else in that hideous front end. It's not growing on me.......the 456 is the ruler in the GT class for me.
I kind of see Panoz and Porsche's 968 in the front fenders, while the back looks "generic-lozenge-Japaneese". I will have to wait til' Concorso, where I expect to see one in the flesh for final judgment.
True, but Chevrolet copied that design element from a Ferrari 375 MM... ) The actual car destined for Ingrid Bergmann (serial 0456GT). The 612 looks better on these pics then some before. I'm not too fond about the design, mainly the nose. I first have to see it with my own eyes to make a fair judgement. It was the same with the Enzo. When the first press pic was released I thought: WTF??? After I saw one at the dealer, it was quite impressive...
nice pics. its growing on me slowly but surely. i still don't like the plainness of the whole thing. i also don't like the smiley grill. but its getting better.....
I was thinking the same thing, headlights say Porsche, also case could be made that it looks like a Panoz Esperante stretched. Not to be counted among the greats of Ferrari designs IMO.
I like it, it's very classy. A great alternative as a GT car to something like a Bentley Continental GT.
Oh, no doubt it will be an acekicker with five hundred fifty sometin horsepower and a weight less than its competitors. Its just such a damn happy car, thats where its flaw is. It cant be aggresive and smily at the same time, it needs to yell Ferrari.
