I CAN PAINT IT MYSELF IF NEED BE AND THE LABOR TO PUT IT ON IS TAKEN CARE OF ALREADY.... THANKS ALL IN ADVANCE.. BRUCE
wow that stinks but one of the hazards of owning a TR, Give Jim or Frank a call at Classic coach, Frank always has that stuff around and maybe he has one. 973-352-3939 good luck and best regards, Jim
THANKS JIM I WAS IN THE AM GOING TO CALL CLASSIC, WWOC, AND ALGAR FOR THE PRICE/ AVAILABILITY OF THE SPOILER... I HAVE FIXED IT WITH FIBERGLASS AND PATIENCE 2X BEFORE, BUT THIS IS TOO FAR GONE BRUCE
I suppose, at least their not that hard to replace and the paint is a satin black which even looks good when sprayed with a can. The roads now are so bad from the winter you have to be so careful. good luck, jim
Sorry to hear about that Bruce, I'm suprised that no one has made a polyurethane replacement. I would think that there maybe a demand for a less expensive & more durable replacement.
Bruce: Sorry to hear about the bad news. Last year when I had a "loaner" TR for the week I discovered that the TR bottoms out very easily. I do not know how you TR owners learn to live with this annoying aspect of the car. Other than the places already mentioned, I would try Ferrari of UK. They usually can get parts about 1/3 the cost of US dealers. Also, try T Rutlands. Ken
Hi Bruce I have recently replaced mine. There is a company in New Zealand who sell aftermarket parts and if you rearch google you will find them they also race ferrari and I purchased a fibreglass spoiler from them that was a perfect match and all we neede to do was add the slip in brackets and paint it I think the cost was about $400.00. If I can locate the email from them I will post it here but you should find them easily as there are not many ferrari parts dealers in NZ if you have no luck email me Regards Tony FRARI
May want to try one of these: www.italianauto.com (aftermarket fiberglass replacement) www.hamann-motorsport.de (Testarossa, 512tr, 512m style bumpers) www.koenig-specials.com (custom style bumpers)
According to Steve at Ferrari of Houston's Body Shop the paint for the front spoiler is Krylon semi gloss back spray can #1613. He said you can buy it at Home Depot or Lowe's HIW. I haven't tried it yet but I'm sure I will need it soon. I drag than dang spoiler everytime I drive the car.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR KIND RESPONSES.. I HAVE TAKEN UP TONY FERARI ON THIS.. I FOUND AFE INC..A FERRARI PARTS SOURCE IN NEW ZEALAND, AND THEY HAD A TR FRONT SPOILER REPLICA..NOT OEM BUT WHO CARES FOR 275.00 USD...CANT BEAT THAT...I JUST EMAILED THEM SO WE WILL SEE WHAT THE FREIGHT CHARGES ARE... ILL KEEP YOU ALL UP TO DATE, AND THANKS ALL......... BRUCE
sorry to hear buddy, but at least you were out enjoying it, mine is still in the garage BTW, where was DES when this happened
YOU AND HIM PROBABLY CONSPIRED AGAINST ME, BECAUSE HE DIDNT LIKE MY WIFES EGGPLANT LAST WEEK, YOU BASTARD!!
Sorry to hear abt the TR Bruce... please let me know if you need a hand fitting it back onto the car. Id be glad to help!
Sorry Bruce, that really stinks. I was with the Professore yesterday and we went over a RR track and I was thinking the same thing but luckily they were the newer flat ones so no problems. Good luck with the fix.
That's the *nicest thing* anybody's ever said to me. How did the eggplant get ruined? *I'm a member of the West Coast "Bastard"-Exclaimers Association. As such, I say it daily.
