    Hey Rob,

If we're in the midst of experimenting with adding/subtracting forums, what about adding in these two forums:

    (1) "New and Prospective Owners"

Thought this will be highly beneficial as a means to be a catch-all for:

-- What is this model worth (a question we get very frequently!)
-- Can somebody do a PPI for me
-- I just got my car, and I'm lovin' it
    -- Etc, etc.

    (2) "FerrariChat Website News and Discussion"

Thought this would be beneficial as a means to discuss:

    -- Website news
    -- Help/updates
    -- Questions/suggestions/complaints,
    -- Test posts
    -- (Potentially) Buyer/seller feedback.

I think these two forums would be highly useful!

    What do you think?

The problem with that one is that the people with the answers would only go there out of generosity... and few would want to answer the same question over and over... so, they'd quickly create a FAQ...

but why not just create FAQs in each of the existing forums to intercept the above questions? (And such FAQs will serve many other purposes as well.)

I'm not sure about that last item... but otherwise such
a forum would seem reasonable... many sites have
such forums. OTOH, they don't get a lot of traffic in
most cases... and in Fchat case, with Rob being *the*
man, I suspect most will still come to Rob via PM's.
So, in the end, I think this is mostly a personal preference
    for Rob.

this probably would result in fewer answers to newbie questions, as it may end up not being a very high priority forum for more experienced folks to read, and therefore the people with the answers would be less likely to see the posts.

absolutely this should happen. discussions JUST LIKE THIS ONE would belong in there not cluttering up forums that have topics.

in fact, your post is off topic ;)

It seems the forum is now very spread out with all the different topics on the main page now. This could be a bad thing, or a good thing.

How about a Ferrari Trackcar forum? Discussion would be for those discussing tracking their Ferraris. No professional racing. Modifications for racing, and racing technic Ferrari specfic of not.
