Great Drive! I had a lot of fun! It was great to run my Ferrari with all of you. I never made it to the casino, but I hope most of you did. I think we should do another San Diego area drive. Next time, I'll bring the GPS! I will post some pics soon. Thanks for having me out again, I loved it!!!

    I DIDN'T MAKE IT EITHER!!
My F40 had the Alternator light flicker on a few months ago. I wasn't sure if the belt was lose or what? Occationally after a few high RPM runs the light would come on dim for a while and then be O.K. After 4 or 5 trips to Crystal Cove and other places, the problem sort of went away. Well, this morning the light was on bright from the moment I started the car. I had charged the battery over night (the car has a battery maintainer installed) So I thought it *may* be O.K. I asked around for an extention cord so that I could plug it in when we got to the Casino. Well, when the hydraulic suspension started acting slow, I thought I may be in trouble. When I went to honk my horn at the guy in the 355 that was pulling in from a side street and nothing happened, I KNEW I was in trouble!!
I got about 2 miles into the run and the F40 shut down. Damn!
I knew there was a safe place to pull over on the 2 lane road up ahead so I parked it and called AAA. I told them if I could get a LONG JUMP it would charge the battery enough to get me home. (no tow trucks please!) They send a guy with one of those portable jumper boxes and a truck load of batteries! So, It's either wait for a flat bed, or buy a $50 battery for $100! I opt to buy the battery that is supposed to be fully charged (it's not) and limp on home......
I ask Lana if we should jump in the Z06 or ZR-1 and meet them at the Casino........ We realize that the situation could have been a lot worse and decide to pass.....
The few people that we met were really nice and we can't wait to make the next event!
At least we have our map of the route. If anyone that ran wants to do it again, let me know. It looked like it was going to be a lot of fun!

    Rick,
Why does my car have a rebuilt alternator in it?

My dad and I had alot of fun. We were in the 1985 308 GTSi QV. The drive was great untill we got lost, and lost again and again. But we wern't the only ones, half the caravan did! We got stuck behind a truck on our way to the casino but when he got out of our way, the other half of the caravan was gone! We then pulled over and looked over the map. Then we headed off again but must have went the wrong way somewhere along the line. We were driving and driving until I guess somebody realized it was the wrong way. But to make things worse, no cell phones worked and the radio's were out of range. Then we turned around and went up the mountains thinking we were going to the casino. But then that was the wrong way and headed back down, again. Then after we got more gas, we asked for directions. Then most of the caravan headed over to the casino which then wasn't far. My dad and I ended up not making it to the casino as well as a few others. A little dissapointed but it was still alot of fun.

I need to finish editing my pictures and will post them shortly.
    -David

After getting lost so many times, I gave up and went for lunch and headed home. Next time, keep in mind that our car is NOT design for offroading.

We did kind of feel lonely being the only 308, there wasn't even a 328. Oh well, my dad's car kept up and we sure had fun!

Yellowpad, what car was yours? Was your car one of the NSX's, or porche that got chipped up by the Lamborghini, maybe it was neither? :)

Finished editing the pictures, I will post them now.

To elaborate on what he said there, you must have something different typed in each message (for me at least). I tried uploading two different images in messages that only had "." in it and it wouldnt work. So, the best way to do it is number each post one by one.

Oh come on Jerry! Dont tell me those dealers got the best of you? I figured you were the king of Poker! No worries though, you already have the Ferrari so what do you need to be gambling for anyway? :)

Speaking of that, what about a Ferrari poker night? More of a social event rather than a drive...but it could be fun. The Texas guys all do it and since we are all better than they are anyway *cough* :) We should have no problem :)

    Sounds cool, count me in!

Sorry I missed you guys on the drive! I would love to have been there! Next time for sure.

Jordan- I saw some BMWs on the drive, along with Sunny's Jag. Do you think my baby Benz would fit in on the next one or do I have to beg Jerry to ride shotgun?

    See yall soon,

    -Jay.

When I click 'upload image or file', it doesn't say 'Browse' but it says 'Choose File'. I have chosen a file though then clicked 'Add this File' then 'All Done' but the pic doesn't appear. I sized the image down to 640 too. But let me try again.

    Still probably nothing

Ferrari Boy ... what operating system is on your computer? (Here is the box you should see) By the way ... do you wait just a moment, before clicking "Done", for your computer to upload the pic? The file you just transfered will appear below, and "Done" will move down. (Then click it) Your picture sizing is right on.

Ferrari poker night sounds great - I'll volunteer my house.

Jay - There was an audi, jag, and M3 there - I think the Benz would be ok - I need to get a Mondial so that I have more room for passengers. :)

My doesn't look like that. I have a Macintosh computer with a different browser than on the windows. Instead of were it says browse, it says 'choose file'. It is probably the same. Any way, I talked to my dad and he says it won't work because I have a '#' sign in it. I guess it can't read these symbols. Let me change it and try it again.

I figured it out! The reason why it won't work is it somehow has too many bytes, 200,000 is the max and mine is 264475! All I have to do now is figure out how to change the bytes size...
