Didn't know if any of you saw this one yet: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4205447071&category=268&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWA%3AIT&rd=1 And they have 1 bidder!
ERIC GREAT FIND...WHO HERE DO WE KNOW FROM INDIANA?? ILL GO IN WITH YOU, IF ITS LEGIT........AND THEN WE WILL SPLIT THE SALE AND BUY OUR WIFES SOMETHING NICE, WHAT DO YOU THINK?? BRUCE
Morning Bruce -- sounds like a terrific idea! Does make one wonder if perhaps this might be one of those deals where the "ex" is selling out of spite.
No VIN, no nothing; this is his FIRST auction, as well... He has ZERO feedback, which means he's never even purchased anything off of eBay... Just someone trying to make some money, that's all... Anyone report it...?
If this is a scam, I sure feel sorry for that 1 bidder...considering it is a no reserve highest bidder auction NNO is right about the questionable credibility of this particular eBayer / auction. If it is legit...TR prices have sunk to an all time record low!
I saw it here for same price and figured typo. no phone #. Could it be wrecked or just a scam or someone that's gotta sell? I'm going to email him to see what he says. http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/4/0/69908240.htm
Probably they're just selling "how to find cheap exotic" informational handbooks, similar to the "buy a powerbook for $150" ads that show up elsewhere on Ebay.
I'll bet you that he left off a zero in the price - just like he did with the mileage... He might think he can still get $97k for it (he actually might get that if he can find an unknowledgeable buyer - or a fool)
I just emailed him with these comments: "I'm very interested in your Testarossa, and will be prepared to make a cash payment immediately upon inspection. Please contact me directly to discuss the vehicle condition." I'll let you know what he says. -Daniel
Well all I figure is unless it's a jealous ex-wife or something than this guy is going to be in a world of hurt if he is trying to make a quick buck. That could end up costing him a whole lot of money if he tries to back out.
Probably a mistype...If you hit the shift key and type 4, you get the $. So, if you translate $9700 to 49700, it seems a little more realistic. Generally speaking, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If on the other hand, this one turns out to be stranger than fiction, I don't think any of us will have a chance at getting the car.
Good call, but there's a space between $ and the price, which would make it look 4 9700$ ... even hard to type!! lol scaaaam!!
just a little obeservation... the background this person chose to use is baby bottles and other baby related stuff. I dont know to many dudes who would pick that as their background when selling a car. Sooooo, this leads me to believe that a lady might be the one selling this car. And weve all heard about, or seen women who will sell there ex partners stuff dirt cheap to get back at em for what ever reasons. Im just saying itd be really cool if someone here did in fact get this car for 10000.
I noticed that too! Subtle dig at the man, maybe???? "I'm pregnant now, and this car is in the garage..........." LOL!
I would go for the typo but on the other site posted earlier, AutoTraderOnline, I think, it is listed at $9700 as well. That would be a baddddd mistake to make twice.
Serial # is on this link: http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/4/0/69908240.htm Anyone want to run it?
CHECK OUT THE LINK DAVE POSTED TRANSMISSION- AUTOMATIC O/D ??? MILES- 1259 ??? SEND THIS GUY TO TYPING SCHOOL OR GET ANOTHER PROOF READER...
I just popped the VIN into Carfax - it does come up as a 1985 Testarossa with 4 records. Didn't buy the report though. Very strange... Cheers Kevin
