    Drive your car or truck at Texas World Speedway. The event will be coming up here soon on May 8, 2004. The event runs from 6pm - 10pm and is $25 for 3 laps around the oval. All proceeds go to Speedway Children’s Charities. Speedway Children's Charities Texas Chapter assists youth-based organizations in Tarrant, Dallas, Denton and Collin counties. More than $2.3 million has been provided to area youth organizations by the local chapter since 1997.

    Just for clarification, this is at Texas MOTOR Speedway, not Texas World Speedway. I'm sure everyone figured that out, but just wanted to make sure. Thanks for the heads-up, this always seems to sneak up and pass me every year. I bet a 1st gear, WOT blast in the entry tunnel would be as much fun as the run on the track. :)

    I'm sure my drive out there will be faster than the speeds allowed for this track event, (80 mph max) but it's for charity. I'll find out tomorrow.
