For Warren - here are some shots of your car from earlier today. the Stradale looks great in the rain, don't you think??? (I have full-res versions too if you want then, Warren - let me know) Will post some more tomorrow, when I've had a chance to make 'em look pretty (i.e. get some colour into them - it was very cloudy and very rainy) enjoy, Ben. PS - Warren - the CS sounded sensational when you pulled away from the pub - and you weren't even giving it some!
Very nice Wazza....even the rain cannot spoil the look of that wonderful Car..............Bloody....Fooocking.....ba..tard ....Weather. I trust you guys had a good chat down there....Any of Henry and Stigs Cars Buk?????
Thanks Ben The pics look great Would love to get copies i'll send you a pm with my email address. Great to meet you yesterday. I need someone else to get a CS quickly so I can hear what it's like when they pull away as i'm sure it sounds different from outside. And no I'm not looking for volunteers to drive mine thanks. Wazza
Very NICE warren hope you have many miles of fun in her. Warren do you race in fomula vee, its all v/w running gear i believe, looks fun what cc are they, cheers Dale.
Dale, Yep, Formula Vee, Highly recommend it as the cheapest racing around VW 1300 Beetle engines. Don't let that put you off. It's seriously competetive. And great fun. Wazza
cheers warren, saw some of these formula vees at donnington or silverstone can't remember in the pit area, never got to see them race though, went to le-mans and did the 24 hour go cart(pro-cart twin engined) race in 97 with three mates that was fun,to many projects on the go at the moment to even think of doing anything like that again, cheers Dale.
Hi Ben, Warren and Stig, It was great to meet you all on Saturday. As you can see I have now logged on to this website - can't believe I haven't found this before - what a find. Just finished cleaning the car!! So my baby is all tucked up and dry. Looking forward to the next meet and hopefully we can get some more guys to come along and show off their toys (weather permiting!). Warren - your new baby is stunning, I don't think anyone could tire of that exhaust note - fantastic. Regards, Henry (328 GTB)
Ben they are great pic's thanks, dam shame about the weather though but you guys meet up had a drive and got some great first up good pics of a stardale out in the rain, warren hope you cleaned it when you got home, would i have cleaned it-no just walked in the house with one big smile on my face, Goodnight all Dale.
Dale You're right about the smile "clean it" don't we have someone to do that for us? Not likely. They might scatch it. Question: how do you clean it with out scrathing it ? : Suggestions please : Wazza ps. ???? I wonder if this is the first Stradale to ever get wet. Might be one for the Guinness Book of Records !!!!
Heck these f-mirrors are expensive. One of mine on the 355 lost vertical motion so I asked Maranellos if they could look at it. Answer: "That'll be £52 + VAT to look at it but as they come as one piece its unlikely we'll be able to fix it. In that case it'll be another £750 plus painting plus VAT (i.e £1100). Thank you for your custom ....hmm ... sir " Only a little while ago I was teasing a forend that had his 911 mirrors stolen and had to pay £550 for each .... Philip P.S. Wazza Re: cleaning the car without scratching ... I heard that in the owners manual it says cleaning is only to be done by toungue It doesn't say whose though !
Henry, Welcome to the list!! F-chat is a good place to be...I have learned a lot and met some great people in the year or so that I've been a member. Glad to have another UK-based 328 on board Cheers, MARK
Wazza, I normally hose off all the loose crap, using Maguires Car shampoo and one of their miricle sponges carefully clean areas from top working to base of car . Plenty of water means minimul scratching from crap on car, Then Leather off, dry and polish again with Autoglym or Maguires polish.. Work every time. Its the cobweb scrathes that are a b..tard on the Rossa Red. Good Luck Wazza and enjoy, remember its all part of the Ferrari Experience.. Joe Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wazza - as far as cleaning goes the only downer of the CS is the cleaning of the wheels. I bought the challenge wheels and compared to the 5 spoke Modena wheels I now spend as long on the wheels as I do on the bodywork!! And don't go cheating with those Autoglym wheel cleaning products. The guys who fitted my wheels said it was too harsh for them and would ruin the surface. Enjoy anyway!!
Lovely CS! Is it Rosso Corsa? I'm still confused about how exactly the Rosso Scuderia looks. And I've even heard of a supposed Rosso Dino in the current colour range but I think it is a mistake, no such Rosso Dino available... anyone?
