will pick her up next week sometime, kinda feel like a kid at Christmas time. will post some more pics soon... Geeees now I have two of these high maintenance monsters........ The red kinda grows on ya. what do you guys think?
That's a lovely one. I'm so used to seeing Rosso or Nero 348's. The combination looks really good & overall makes the car look much newer. Hope you enjoy. Phil
Arie..... Great color combo !!! "Lipstick Red" leather is my all time favorite interior color option. BTW I noticed in your profile that you own a 1970 and a 1973 Trans-Am. Are any of them for sale ? I have been looking for a 70-74 Trans Am for some time now. I owned a 75,76,77 and 78 while growing up and want to get something restored....or something I can restore, to keep forever....but it's gotta be a 455 and a manual transmission. I'd die for an SD-455.
thanks ! as for the T/As there not for sale, I did buy the 70 ramair from your neck of the woods so, there price is getting up there to, I paid 25000 for the 70 and 15000 for the 73, super duty`s are very hard to find if its a 73 , 74`s are plenty but will still set u back around 20000 plus. look in ebay or hemmings news there is a couple of them. my ramair is a 4 speed car with blue on blue very hard to find, unrestored around 5000 to 10000 well good luck on your hunt, take care "A" my folks are from kelowna. Arie..
Arie.... Thanks for the reply. I've been watching for while now (12 months) and the odd example I have seen was either way too much money for the condition (trashed examples) or beyond my comfort level for the 2 perfect ones I found ($30K+ USD). I'd prefer something under $15K USD that I can restore.......but most examples are too far gone for my liking. Guess I'll have to wait until they develop a time machine or re-assess my view of the marketplace.
Arie: I have 355 Challenge wheels on my 348. I think that you will like the look...buy you will LOVE the improved handling. The bigger rubber w/stiffer sidewalls took alot of the handling vices away from mine. The bigger wheels will also allow you to fit F40 front brakes and F50 rears...the stopping power is quite amazing! Plus...if you don't get bigger brakes the old ones look really small and out of place Dino
Nice color combo! My '04 M3 is silver with red interior - so Ferrari was ahead of its time with your 348. The 355 wheels look great on the 348. I am putting 355 wheels on my '95 348 Spider - just realize you'll need all new lugs as well. Hill Engineering is a good source for OEM spec lug nuts. Congrats on the new ride!
