I know, but History of the World was Mel Brooks. It was a Mel Brooks v Monty Python thing. After all, "...nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!"

Here is a 1669 Amati in full baroque set up...my dream violin :)

The violin I have is an English instrument based off of an Amati pattern...Made around 1800. Unfortunately Im not much of a violinist :), but Ive played some good basses as well. I got to play a Rogeri bass from 1690 that was prcied at 100k! What an instrument!

That's awesome! My ex-girlfriencd was a violinist and has a Vuillaume, which is the best non-Italian violin. She has been talking to a Strad collector who lives in Bufflo, NY, surprisingly enough. Many Strad owners don't even play but loan them out to the pros. Pretty cool...
