Hello all, I haven't been on line for awhile but this is always the best place to go for info. Our driving season has come to an end here in Mass. so it's time to do all the little things. Does anybody know a good source for touch-up paint? I have an 86 328 red. Thanks in advance, LUCH
I am currently working with PaintScratch.com on Bianco for my 348. I called Ferrari of Washington and they recommended them. They have been very responsive. about $75-80 for 3 cans: clear coat/paint/primer DO test the clear coat/paint/primer combination BEFORE you do your car. I have a white car (white is THE HARDEST color to match) and am on the second round with the Color. PaintScratch (Division of Bio Pac, Inc.) 584 Pinto Court Incline Village, NV 89451 775-831-9493 Good luck and let us know how you find them
Since your car is 17 years old, most standard color touch-up paints will not match because of the paint fade. My suggestion to you is, visit any of your local pro paint dealers. For example some NAPA, and O'Reilly auto parts stores have a pro paint section where they can custom mix any color. Drive your car there on a day that is nice enough, and have them do a multi-angle digital reading from your car. They can then match the exact color that you car is now, not 17 years ago. Then have them mix up how ever much you need...
And of course, don't forget to use Langka on it to smooth out the touch-up blob so that it's just about invisible. Great stuff. If you use this link to check out their site, and later make a purchase, they'll make a donation to the Ferrari Club... http://coldfusion.affiliateshop.com/AIDLink.cfm?AID=030303&BID=2094
