I was thinking to change the name to: Candy Store, Inc. Slogan: "You are the kid, we are the Candy Store!" Any thoughts?
Please tell me you were kidding......In the remote possibility that your'e not, it s--ks.Too similar to the auto toy store and all the negative baggage.
How about changing it to "Sheltons"? Petrolheads Rule at Sheltons. Kind of has a good ring to it. BHW
if you're gonna change the name (why do you want to change the name?) change it to your name. given your geography, the more comfort you can instill in a potential customer the better, imo (not only do i stand behind the cars i sell, but my name goes on every one - blah blah blah). doody.
I vote yes, yes, yes. And since you will not need Cavallino any more, I'll be glad to take it off your hands... DrTax
Doody, yes, that was another consideration: Martin's Used Car Lot buy here pay here! my ugly grinning face on every billboard. Oh God help us, there surely is a law against putting my fact on a billboard Doc, ...you could register in another state
There's already a very well known collection here in San Francisco area called the Candy Store. They give tours to all local car groups.
Actually Martin, I'm surprised that you are even thinking about changing the name. When I first saw your web page (pre-FC days), I thought that you were THE Cavallino. You know, Cavallino, Ferrari, South Florida, typical South Florida scam artist... just kidding about that last one, although I have had dealers in Southern Cal tell me that every dealer in Florida is a crook, but I'm sure that you are the exception to the rule. I'd stick with Cavallino if I were you, unless of course you're thinking about branching out into a different line of bidness involving women who, uh, like to, ah, well, they are into performance art. Yes, I agree -- Cavallino Motors is a wonderful name. On a side note, there's an independent mechanic nearby here (in Ocala ?) with the name Cavallino Motors, if I'm not mistaken. Seems like I recall several invoices in my records for the TR with their title on them (not certain, would have to double check this). Has this caused any "problems" or confusion on your end? Just curious...
Keep Cavallino Motors. First impression of hearing it is priceless. If you do decide to change the name you could sell Cavallino Motors.
Just wanted to post a follow up correction to my earlier post with regards to the independent facility in Ocala area. I checked my receipts last night, and the name of the place is Cavallino Automibili -- NOT Cavallino Motors as I previously misstated. Sorry for the confusion, Martin
William, I like the last one but that may not fly with Corporate Records in Tallahassee Cavallino Motors remains....you convinced me guys.
Yeah, I know this post is way late, but I just noticed this thread. FWIW, your current name is priceless and keeping it the way it is is absolutely the right decision. It was your link to F-chat that brought me to this forum in the first place. BTW, absolutely love the silver Testarossa. Wish I was in the market. The price is great too. It should be gone in no time.
I thought so. I noticed you said something about the major service was done by FOA. Funny thing is, I don't remember it being listed as part of their current inventory though. The Testossa/TR is my favorite F-car and was my first F-car ride ever. I even started a thread some time back about it a while ago. I wish I was in a position to do something about this one. Happy New Year to you to, Martin. My first post of of the new year. Happy New Year to all F-chatters and all best wishes for 2004 ! Mark
Martin, do you have a sales staff or do you handle everything yourself? I've found that many high end or exotic car salesmen really don't have a clue about the history or performance of these cars. You also do real estate right? I'm gonna email you to ask about how the hardwood flooring business is in Miami. I need a change in scenery, maybe Miami is the place to be. Maybe I can sell Ferraris? LOL
Martin, you could change the name to "Marty's Maranello Machines" and you could wear a white belt, white shoes and plaid sportjacket.
LOL pink pants pulled all the way over my belly botton. "Marty's Gigantic, Fantastic, Maranello Machines Lot"
Where is Cavallino Motors located in north Miami? I would not mind stopping by to see if you have anything I want.
