WD40 There, I said it. The cat's out of the bag now! A light coating of WD40, gently sprayed and wiped will keep things looking like new. Clyde points out that "WD" stands for Water Displacement and Frank touts that property as one of the reasons for using WD40 to clean up an engine bay. After seeing the results on Lupe's car, I'm hooked! http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=WDFC Image Unavailable, Please Login
Anchient italian secret? LOL The've been doing that in the hood before they sell their cars for years. Could pull an extra $50
http://www.ferrarichat.com/partsandservice/detailing_engine/index.htm Rob documented it but others have sworn by it for years: Rub and Buff
WD40 is ok but its not all that good its greasy which means dust and grime will build up on it in the area's its sprayed. Its flammible also best way to Detail Engine = APC+, Simple Green, or another degreaser then spray a water based dressings on the plastic and rubber parts.
Someone with a house needs to host a "Ferrari Detailing Day" where all us city slickers can come out, use your water, wash our cars and do some of these "DIY" projects that are a bit difficult to accomplish in the streets of NYC...
My house is good for that, I literally have an entire street to myself, lupe eric keith can testify to that
Totally up for it. pchop can bring his wax applicator, we can bring some WD40, Hubert can bring the ladies, Lupe will bring his business cards, and we can all have a fine ol' time...
You guys wanna do this Saturday morning at my place after the Players Run thing? Its right across the GW Bridge!
You have to read above. Most of them aren't bringing their cars to the Intrepid. Can you detail a Vespa? Too much WD40 will have you sliding off the seat
True Clyde, but whoever lives in NYC can easily pick their car up and bring it over to Jersey, wont take long if they want to do it
Would love to, but don't think I can. I definitely need to devote one day over the weeked to getting work-related stuff done, and with the Informal Run on Sunday, I think that day will have to be Saturday.
I would, but my wheels are still at Classic. :-( I did not think that you all would have been so open to having a bunch of us come over to clean cars.
Hmmmm. Will need to keep an eye out for the Euroversion of WD-40. Anybody know if there's a significant difference between Euro & American?
I TELL U GUYS THIS STUFF IS UNBELIVABLE LEFT MY ENGINE NICE AND CLEAN I RECOMEND IT SOUNDS AS IF I 'AM DOING ACOMMERCIAL 4 THIS PRODUCT.
