jut installed this exhaust cover , It's attached to my ansa muffler
Whoa dude! That's BOSS! Who did that? Did you have a big 'late style' louver cover on your car? I'm fabbing some 'early style' trims but that looks cool!
Whoa, what kind of a pimp-ass stereo is that? Can you get more pics of how the control plate deploys? Of course, I've just bought TWO head units for mine, I'll have to limit my spending, but I'm curious! Looks like a sweet car! Vroom!
Alan, That exhaust cover was available on ebay: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13838 Barry
Thanks! My second 308 has some work to do...... When they put the exhaust on it the tips were too high as you mentioned, so they chopped out the rear valence!! Back to the fabricator!..... I'm thinking as you suggest to have one made with the half circles in it, like the single outlet Euros of days gone by. Smaller oval opening in the center. Who would notice???
Alan, They didn't have to chop it out. The central portion of the rear valance is made of steel and held in place with sheet metal screws. Ferrari UK has them in inventory, part #60212107 and trim part #60246907. Barry
Thanks! I noticed those part numbers in the other thread! This car is pretty original and I thought this muffler was a thermo reactor type, but the conflict with the valence has me scratching my head!
I've fitted the same exhaust cover to my Mondial QV, looks great and really tidies up an otherwise rather poorly finished lower section to the car....recommended!
Yea, alot of them have been damaged and removed over the years...my blue car has a muffler shroud of stainless steel...but it makes it look like a toaster hung under there! We'll make it right with the refab factory piece, the smaller version....
