Well that would pretty much set up my garage in Heaven. Would love to have driven by that. Thanks for the pics!
Hey ! That Ruf looks familiar ! That is in Lexington KY, and the F50 belongs to a good friend of mine who is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet...
That doesn't look like a RUF R Turbo to me. More like a 996TT with the aerokit package and some RUF rims? edit: ah, but it does have a RUF badge on the front hood, weird
Good eye, it is my Ruf R Turbo, 550hp spec (closer to 600hp according to factory)...I took a new 996 Turbo and had Ruf do a full package on it including 550hp engine, wheels, Ruf Suspension, Instruments, exhaust, short shifter, and taller 6th gear good for 219 mph. Car will do 0-60 in 3.5 secs all day long.... Oh, the hood badge was placed by Ruf !
WOW, nice & congrats! How much was the upgrade? That's a real sleeper, since it doesn't look like a R Turbo at all. And you can give the F50 owner a run for his money, thats for sure
Also, Ruf will do 3 grades of engine in the R Turbo... standard is 520hp next is the 550hp variant.. and finally, the monster "Nardo" engine, good for 590hp (640hp in reality)..it has titanium inner workings and higher spec cams...
wow not often u find an F50 around.....I have yet to see one on the road, only at places like the Marconi Museum and private collections. Like those pics man
I have been lucky in seeing 2 different one on the road, the first was in the middle of nowhere in Northern Scotland and the second stuck in traffic outside Heathrow airport, great looks and lovely sound.
Awesome pictures. Are either of you two going to this? I'd love to see your cars there. http://www.mcicars.com/carshowadv04.htm Even if the RUF isn't Italian. hehe
Why do you say this doesn't look like a RTurbo? Here is another RTurbo, owned by Mr. Bass and driven in the Gumball. Still has the Gumball Rally sticker on the car too even after about a year later. Go to my website here for the pics. Too big to upload. http://poorboytuners.stangnet.com/Ruf.htm
How about a "NOT WORK SAFE" line in the title!!!!! Are you trying to get me fired???!!! I think that is a very important "rule" we have here. As soon as I saw that red F50 I had no choice but to whip it out and have at it. Thanks a lot!
