Yellow is the one color I think this cart actually looks ok in. I must be in the minority though because FofW had one that was mint on there floor for over a year and couldn't get rid of it. I guess it is a little to flashy for the"gentlemans" ferrari.
elegant but in a way boring.. i guess my taste needs to mature a little bit more before i can appreciate that car
IMHO, the 456 really doesn't present itself well in bright colors - too big maybe? I believe the Pininfarina Paris Salon car in 1992 was Verde Silverstone (dark green, almost black in the shade). On the counter, most Ferrari owners want their cars to "scream" Ferrari when they go down the road so yellow would appeal to that segment. I would bet that many 456 owners own several other Ferraris that would already be in bright colors.
Interesting.....different......not my style....but when it comes to the 456 or 550/575 I like more subded colors. Come to think of it, this is the only yellow 456 I've ever seen.
My god is that banana colored clown-shoe hideous. Curse Ferrari for ever greenlighting poser cars like the 456 series. They need only to look at the Vanquish or even the new Bentley GT to get an idea as to how these "gentlemen's-*****-*****" sports cars should look. Ferrari's own 400-series from the '80s looks far better to me.
That's funny, I still can't speak about the abomination that is the 612. What in the hell is Ferrari doing to the brand that kept me up nights as a child with amazing designs. Can anyone NOT remember the first time they saw the 288 GTO and the wonderful emotional response you felt from it?? I will now go bash my head into a wall in an attempt to purge the 456 and 612 from my brain.
Ferrari was building GT cars like the 456 or the 612 many years before they made the 288 GTO (for example, 250 GTE), so they deserve some consideration.
mako your making me crack up.i love when people are really blunt about things.just like www.seanbaby.com
...Then I'd like it even LESS. I'm an F-car fan, and have been for most of my life. So I can cut them some slack on wanting to make GT 4-seaters, fine fine, but these newer designs like the 612 look like some leftover underwater props from fricken SeaQuest. It's all a matter of taste, but I love the angular sportscars, the Gallardo being the newest example. You know, the wedges, like the Esprit, the NSX, the F355, the Zonda, the Enzo, etc. Sharp cuts, and nice lines.
Well, isn't that special. Perhaps you and your sweetheart, Ellenlambo, can put on your gold lamé thong bikinis and give each other wedgies as you mutually masturbate one another over Blew Boy, the underground Laméboreghini Lover's magazine of choice.
The 456 is my favorite current Ferrari...........has been since day one. I like them in yellow or silver actually.........darl colors blur the lines.
What about the Acura TL? That's a nice car. I think the 612 is a pig looks-wise. Who's running Ferrari? That Montezuma or whatever his name is needss to go.
I know that looks are a subjective thing in general, but honestly you are the only person I know that hasn't shown some liking to the 456. sure it is getting old in the tooth but it is still a class act whichever way you look at it. the old 400 was a pig to drive by all accounts. I can see someone perhaps liking the looks of the old 400, as I said that is subjective, but by saying what you said about the 456 shows your ignorance I am afraid.
like the 456, but not in yellow. how much does a respray cost again..... the 612 is still fugly in my opinion. they cud have doen so much w/ that car and yet they flubbed it. i just don't get it.(yet?)
