....and that's another reason why we don't spot that many F-cars in Montreal. Apart from the weather and potholes, Montreal has some of the most reckless, irresponsible drivers in North America. In this city, red lights and speed limits are mere suggestions.
Last wednesday I went to l'Autodrome St-Eustache with some friends to look at the Drag races. (every wednesday and thursday you pay 5$ and you can bring your car to race versus anyone.) And guess what...there was a red 360 Modena. The owner had just received his 360 in the morning. His first race he did was vs a Viper. Look at the picture...(The Viper won) Then the guy in the 360 did 2 races vs a Corvette Z06. (no pics). The 360 won both races. Btw I didn't took this picture. Its my friend with his camera. Very interesting, 20 years I used to go there with my camaro (Z28) of course and they charged 5 dollars back then. John is it still an 1/8th of mile drag strip. I am definitely going to check it out when I get nack from vacation.
Ahhh c'mon Bernie, I live in Lisbon Portugal part of the year and if you havent heard Portugal has the craziest and the worst drivers in Europe! (Fact) And when I am there I see Ferrari's driving all over the place!. Especially in my area, Estoril (No not just on the track ). When I was there in 1999 for a couple of weeks I saw my first 360 Spyder and about 6 Modena Coupes in all colour's driving around. The spyder was actually up - halfway on the sidewalk all dirty while the guy ran in to pick up a pack of smokes at some store. What a scene, especially since the spyder had just come out in EU. I always said the more people woorry about the little things the worse it is. Oh well, it's just my two cents ;-) Please don't shoot me. LOL Vasco.R
...and I thought the drivers in Rome were nuts! When parking in Rome, it is obligatory to bump and nudge the cars in front and behind you. Hmmm...I'm seeing a pattern here with all these Mediterranean drivers. Must be that sea air...or latin temperment.
Black Testarossa on Rue Dollard here in LaSalle Red 348 or 355 Spider in Vaudreil FoQ tomorrow morning! What are their hours?
Bernie, Tony Guess what I did today..? I went to take a walk on Sorel street again. But this time it was worth it you know why....I saw a Ferrari 288 GTO !!!! I have pictures but I don't know if I should post it here. The pictures I took were in the garage. (the guy let me in!) Patrick, Did you see the 288 GTO?
@#$%... No I didn't. I didn't go to the service area. I saw a red/tan 360 Spyder at the Ultramar on La Savane.
Did you go to FoQ? Outside at the back they had a red 575M, a silver 360 CS( from Nova Scotia) , a 456 (with 550 wheels) and more!
I just went in by the front, my dad was hurrying me along... I looked around, and got a hat. We didn`t go to the detail or service area.
I don't think you're going to get a post from Tony for a bit..he's on vacation. Ahh yes...that famous 288GTO that belongs to you-know-who. I saw that car for the first time at the Montreal Auto Show in 1988. Go ahead, post the pics.
It had that Luigi Ferrari club sticker on it. Very Very nice car!! The only car I took a picture of was the Azzuro California 360 Spider out front. Did you see the Maybach at Silverstar Mercedes? What time did you go to FoQ at?
Yup!!! That's the one! It's interesting to note that the cars with the Luigi stickers, that get serviced at FoQ....still keep the stickers. I guess there's still some weight or prestige backing up those stickers.
I wonder if the blonde at FoQ gives you a BJ when you buy the 1:12 Tamiya F50 for $1,500. Which you can find for $300-$350 USD.
Back to spotting. Finally, some Ferrari's in St. Léonard....yellow/black 360 coupé and red/tan 348TS on Lacordaire.
Was side by side with a Grigio/nero 360 Spyder on the Metropolitain service road westbound (at Stinson). He was obliged to keep the top down since he had a huge bouquet of flowers in the passenger side. Got a thumbs up from him.
Some more pictures of my last visit at you know where. 288GTO and 512BB LM in the garage! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
