HOLY ****!! My reaction to my first ever drive of a 360 Spider. Also drove a 355 Spider (pretty ho-hum, and no way I'd trade my P-car for that). But the 360!! I'd sell my soul for this car. The most intense, fun experience I've ever had in a car. The sticking point: I'm not rich and would have to give up the P-car and my brand new M3 to get this thing. How much rationalization can one do in one weekend? (Also heard a 430)
Lol. If you can't get the right price for your soul (post it in FerrariAds, making note of its service/confession history), your P-car could be next on the list. I would hate to give up my 993 cabrio - but can't justify having two stupidly expensive two-seaters in the garage. I alway want one "holy **** " car in my garage. (My BMW 3 coupe wasn't one - too much like a daily driver. Sold it in Nov.) I suppose if the 360 is really your 'forever' car you should go for it. Just do a search on maintenance costs. It ain't a Porsche . Jon
I have a 360 F1 and a TR and have owned a number of other Ferrari and Porsches, etc. in my past. Now with the exception of a 430 which I have not driven but expect to be even better and the Enzo, which I have driven at LeMans (On track-before race-not on road) I have never driven a car which left my so blown away as the 360.(Especially after tracking the car.) There are other cars faster, quicker, faster around the track or from A to B on the street, but no car matched the sheer fun of the 360. No matter how bad a day I have had I know a quick jaunt in the 360 makes it all irrelevant. Now everyone is different, but, if you can find the way, then it is worth sacrificing just about anything for one of these cars.
It was a '97 triple black. Interior, I found somewhat dated and uncomfortable. Thought it would have been blisteringly hot in the summer - it was only 19 degrees today. Everything else ok, except power. Please don't take offense to this, but I found the car quite gutless, everywhere on the tach. The power delivery of the 360 made it feel stronger than my twin turbo.
Glad you enjoyed it. You'll lose a lot of functionality if you have to get rid of what you've got to make it happen. Just figure out a way to add it to the stable. Use that as an incentive to do something that'll give you the $$ to make it happen. Good luck.
