i have a incredible piece of art i can sell as i just got a few repporduced.... i will take some pics and post them next week....
there is a artist in modena that made the original ( 3000$ ) out of metal ...hand built.... i bought it a while ago... last week, i wanted a few for my showroom so i sent it to a speacialist that makes molds.. they did a 110% perfect replica mold... which i now have! cost me a little $$$$ but i can duplicate as many as i want now... it measures 3 ft high..3 ft wide.. 2 inch thick... weighs 20 + pounds... it is made out of a super super solid compound of plaster/hardener.. you can hold it from a leg and it wont break apart.... that company used my mold to creat the one i have in the picture here... i can sell those for 300$ if black (flat or semi gloss or high gloss or silver ). if you want real cosso corsa red....real ppg paint with clear coat, add 175 $. shipping will be maybe 30-50 $. this is a live horse with muscles,veins,...loooks incredible... i could have sold my original item 100 times...everyone who sees it offers to buy it... i decided to make them for all customers of mine... you can hang it to a wall, or even make a standing horse in the middle of a office by adding a base very easily...... this is the nicest cavalinno rampante i have ever seen done...all of them are flat, 1 cm thick...metal plate.... this is 2 inches....looks incredible. email me at [email protected] if anyone wants one... it is a little over 2 inches thick therefore revealing a true live effect.....real legs, muscles, right /left legs at different levels etc.. a true piece of art.. it cost new so much for the original item... the artist did a great job... for all of you to know, i got an ok from the fellow in italy to make duplicates.i called and got his blessing. he worked for a dear friend of mine for 17 years.
Well, 300 is too rich for me. Looks great though. But I was looking for one like THor's...from a distance it looks likes it's painted on the wall. Steve, your's has alot of detail and looks more like the Cavallino on the back of my 308. Thor's looks like the one on the front grill of Ferraris (not mine...US version). Thanks for posting.
Well, I just completed and shipped #1 of 25 of the 12" Cavallino Horses, and it turned out really well. Down-sizing the artwork is a lot harder than increasing the size because of the torch cuts. I also made a 12" one with a base so it can stand on a table top. Thor Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi guys, I finally got around to photographing two of the 3-ft tall pieces together. Just ignore the homely guy in the middle. Thor Image Unavailable, Please Login
VERY NICE!! They really look great. It's hard to tell from the picture, but the one with the base might be tilted slightly forward. Most people don't realize it, but "correct" is to have the center of the head directly above the lower foot, like so: Image Unavailable, Please Login
ABSOLUTELY!!!! no doubt about that And I'm moving to a new and bigger appartment in 1½ week... with some pretty large walls.... would actually look great I think I have to add it to my birthday wish list
Here's where I am......... I bought one from Steve on the June 19th that he said would ship next day. Well, he finally shipped it Monday and I received it yesterday in about 3 major pieces and many chips. The only way this item will ship safely is if it is foam sprayed around it like most sculptures. Now I have to deal with Fed ex that hasn't shown up all day. One other note: There is no mounting bracket and I'm not sure if you could drill anything into this as it's pretty fragile. I think mounting bolts or something needs to be placed during the manufacturing otherwise it looks nice.
Mine are available, the steel ones that is. http://www.myweb.cableone.net/thor276/cavallinohorse/ferrarihorse.htm Thor
Thor, where did you put the non-car related metal art??? did you remove it completely from your site?
Hi Tina, My other metalwork is on these pages: http://www.myweb.cableone.net/thor276/SCULPT/SCULPT.HTM http://www.myweb.cableone.net/thor276/ARMOR/ARMOR.HTM Thor
Thor, I just placed an order for a 24 inch silver piece. Do you have a suggested method for wall mounting? Regards, DMAX
