Hi Guys ~ My pics can't even begin to compare to the talent that posts here but I posted this once, (on the wrong thread I think) and didn't have any captions.

So here is the link, w/captions and names of owners in case anyone has way too much spending $$$ left over in their pockets on a Monday am and just MUST get rid of it.

Highlights of my trip = 1) seeing Frank at the media tent and Ferrari tent 2) meeting and talking to John Fitch about his many races 3) meeting and chatting with Chris Jaques 4) running into some crazy friends from my hometown at the Gooding auction 5) the new love of my life, the Spyder California with the Jag XK120 running a jealous second

I did indeed, and probably got more (out of 800 photos, only a few lucky ones made it on the website). If you want high res, shoot me a PM.

Hi Tad ~ Well, the ans to that question is quite long but I will try to be as brief as I can. The older gent on the right side with the wing in his face is none other than John Fitch, one of the most prolific racers in American history. He was the first American to race in Europe (post-war) era. The MB Gullwing in the photo is the one he took "Best of Class" and 5th place at Mille Miglia. He also won the Argentine Grand Prix 1951, Sebring, and competed in Le Mans 6 times, finishing as high as third. He was the first general manager for Chevrolet's Corvette racing team. He was also one of the first imported car dealers in the US. He still attempts to set speed records at the Bonneville salt flats.

If you have ever driven Kanan road from the 101 to the PCH and noticed the crash buffer lane on your left, with all of the yellow barrels at the end, he designed it. During and after his racing career, he invented many things to keep the "fun" in racing which means everyone goes home in one piece.

He is 89 but sharp as a tack. It was a joy and pleasure to meet and speak to him. Not to brag, but just so you can see his nice smile, here is a pic.

I almost got run over by a Veyron when crosssing the street from the Pebble Concours heading over to the Gooding and Co. auction Sunday night.

Haven't ready the whole thread here but did anyone else get hit up by the casting girls from the new Bullrun/Spike TV reality show? They said my brother and I would be "perfect" for the program when walking around Pebble Saturday afternoon. I'm still waiting for the phone call ;)

0666 is the first TR and the prototype, to the best of my knowledge Jon Shirley is not the current owner, unless it has been sold. Furthermore, I believe that 0666 does not have pontoon fenders like the 250 TR's that succeeded it. Hmm read the rest of the thread, I guess 666 was sold and I was unaware. But regardless, greta pics thanks all!

0666TR has not been sold. Still owned by Jon Shirley, he bought it in May 2002. 0666TR has recently been through a restoration, but still retains its pontoon fenders, which it has had since 1957. It is the prototype but in its VERY early history had an enveloped body which looked somewhat like a 290MM. There are many pictures in this thread showing its current pontoon fendered form. I think the car looks great after its restoration

Sorry guys, I've been too busy at work since getting back to spend much time on Fchat. But, since it is a holiday weekend and Spicy didn't feel like going out for dinner, I got bored and sat down with a few beers and Picassa.

    So, let the pics begin...
