Somewhat similar. My other car didn't have a stripe, spare tire or red calipers.... I should have it in my garage some time next week.

Has anyone seen the car or noted the serial number for the Challenge Stradale that FNA loaned out for road testing? I believe it was Pozzi Blue with a tan leather interior which would seem to be a rare combination. Who gets to buy the old FNA road test cars after they replace the clutch and tires?

I note the first US car (133305) is Blue with (dark) Tan interior. It is possible (indeed reasonably likely) that this was the car in question. It would almost certainly have been one of the first few US cars. These cars are just sold as normal used cars through the dealer chain after they have fulfilled their test/demonstration purpose.

Thanks for the details about the early USA Stradale Jonathan! The magazine car appeared as a dark blue and it was only in a closeup shot of the fender that it look more like TdF Blue but still a dark color.
The register is a great idea here.

I have seen the total number produced as 378 (European Car Mag) which is obviously wrong. Could this number be referring to the number that were brought to the U.S.?

Since there are about 10 CS's in Holland and 362 in US will make that there are 6 other CS's in all the other country's. What will make the official production number not believable.

It will more be around 800/1200. But Ferrari says it's 378...

In a past issue of Cavallino, it was also reported at 378 for the total number of CSs produced. My dealer could not confirm or would even deny this. But it doesn't seem realistic with all the other CSs being reported from all over the globe.

Ferraris campaign of misinformation does get a bit old.

So as far as European Car knows 378 is a reliable number but there is really more than 3x that amount? Wow, thats terrible accuracy. Guess its a good thing forums such as this exist to try and keep the numbers accurate :)

My forthcoming book "Ferrari Serial Numbers Manual 1947 - 2007" (available then via www.vinbook.com) does contain 813 CS so far. As the coverage of Modern Cars is around 80 % in avarage, 1200 produced cars sound more or less reliable. I might remember, having adressed the Factory some time ago on the Modena production figures and I believe, the answer was 1200 as well (what is in my experience never absolut accurat but an indicatory value).

In a F430 Scuderia thread, posted is a list of options available with codes, descriptions and cost.

Is there a similar document available for the Stradale ?

Tony, do you know the serial number...?!? Can you get it...? :)

Stu, CONGRATULATIONS...!!! I'm very happy for you...! I know that car, too - previous owner is an awesome guy. Glad to see that car went to someone just like him.

Matthias, how can I buy this book...? Is it in English...?
