"That sounds fairly reasonable. Now that is just liability correct? And I am assuming that applies to timed and untimed events, correct? " As far as I've been told. I started to read the policy again, but got hung up on the sections excluding WAR, Nuclear Energy Liability and Natural Disasters. Then there's the 3 pages on Melicious Code.....
K&K is one of the biggest motorsports insurerers in the country. Champ Car, ALMS, and I think most other major racing series use K&K. Now what is the policy your reading actually for? Is it for you and your car, or is it for putting on an event?
KK used to not have such a policy I am glad they now do. I have inquiry into other guys per lolaman's post but I have no response as to prices yet or seen an actual policy terms. 1500/10 events is really expensive for just trackdays. Hopefully that will include racing too. Pad...look for a racing exclusion or timed event exclusion.
I use them too through Aon Private Client Services and I do carry Liability insurance for my annual race program in NASA, SCCA and Grand Am/Koni. I also cover my trailer and its equipment as well as the race cars through the same policy. The cars are only covered for non race accident and incident such as fire, theft and towing/paddock accidents. On review of cases I concluded that having an insurance company in your corner when plaintiff's suit is served is very valuable. Plaintiff's council knows that you are being advised by professionals and that a settlement (inevitable) is possible without pressing for a bankruptcy. In addition carrying the policy shows that you are aware of the implicit risks especially in states where you will be held liable for negligence alongside the track and the organizer if you could be deemed liable (less damaged) than the plaintiff.

There is a company in Georgia writing on-track physical damage coverage for DE events. It is an annual policy, with no limit to the number of events. It has a fairly decent rate too. Contact: Anna McManus Liability Underwriters Inc P.O. Box 527 Cumming, GA 30028 678-513-4799 [email protected]
