I was at a car show that had two 328s. One was a GTB and I find myself a huge GTB fan. Both cars in very nice condition. I looked them over but I wasn't really inspired. I couldn't imagine these cars even in the same league as mine. The steering wheel doesn't even tilt or telescope! They also seemed a bit cramped, where can I put my toolbox, sleeping bag and tent? One smelled of fuel and oil. Maybe I see too many Ferraris now and have become jaded, but I really like my rock chipped black and tan Mondial. My car is beautiful, reliable, comfortable and a great traveling companion.

    I think I have decided I no longer want a 328.

And who wouldn't fall in love with this?

I totally agree by the way that the Mondial is an impressively enjoyable Ferrari experience. (Well at least right now while she's running without a required tow to my mechanic!)

FWIW, I like all of the pics except the one with the headlights up and off. To me, the lines of the car are made very awkward, so I don't do it.

The headlights are on, outter most ones. I'd just come out of the snow.

Sorry, I just noticed the headlights are on. Still, I don't think it's the Mondial's best look. But you need headlights sometimes, right? Though I cannot imagine that the low beams made much of a difference driving in the snow. I generally need the highbeams on to really see anything more than highway paint in front of me.

Well, to each his own. Personally speaking, I didn't realize Ferrari owners judged the worthiness of the car by the adjustability of the ergonomics. That's a new one for me. Going by that, maybe you might like a Honda Odyssey. Anyways, on the 328 the steering wheel tilts. You just to know where the adjustment is. As far as the room goes, I'm 5'10" and 155 lbs. I love having a car that fits me perfectly and not one where I wallow about in the seats. That's one of the things that I love about the 328, 348, and 355. They're made for people like me.

Personally, the 328 GTB is my second favourite Ferrari ever and I don't think that they have made a better car. I like the Mondial as well and may add one to the stable at some point but I would never replace My 328 GTB with one. But obviously not everyone would agree.

What he said. I think Mondials wear black well, but the 308/328 GTS is one of the all-time sports car icons.

I don't know many people who -- car enthusiasts or not -- who aren't blown away when a pristine 308/328 makes an appearance.

The 328 is sublime, no question about it. The mondial is an acquired taste among Ferrari owners for sure, but those who fall for it's many attributes, usually fall hard. I often say there are few Ferraris I rather own than a Mondial, but I think we can all agree that each Ferrari brings something unique and spectacular to the automotive world... No need for any of us to compete. We all love our cars for different reasons, and we wouldn't kick any Ferrari out of the garage

There's a relatively simple fix for the headlights that gives you an incredible boost in brightness, for both low and high beams. I've yet to do this on mine, but I've measured the voltage going to the headlights as-is, and it's dismal. There's quite a drop in voltage.

Here's the site detailing the fix, and the related threads:

I didn't mean to bash 328s, they have the same drivetrain as my car, are probably quicker and tighter handling. I guess as Joe has said, I have fallen badly for my car. It's like a good long term relationship, you don't necessarily see that physical person anymore, what you see is their soul.
