Good afternoon all, I'm looking to get into the Ferrari family and currently have my eye set upon a 348 TS red/tan. My eyes have me looking at this (http://autos.aol.com/used-detail-7839224141013671082-Ferrari-348-1990/) currently. CARFAX seems clean except no records since 04/29/2009. I'm trying to stay in the high 30's/ Low 40's. Anyone know about this car? Thank you
+1. Hopefully becomes a great deal for a caring owner and not an expensive lesson for some yahoo that wants to say he owns a Ferrari then complains as it falls apart around him from lack of love and respect.
That car is listed in the 348 registry.... been trying to sell it since 2008 according to the registry. http://ferrari348registry.com/Ferrari_View.asp?pVIN=087244 Looks like all the other links out there link to the current sale.
Thanks for the tip(s). I realize it's high mileage. Also it's definitely time for another major as it was last done in 2004. But the clutch was replaced at 60k. I actually had another dealer tell me that a major every 5 years is a "Ferrari service gimmick to make you spend money". While I've read here some suggest 3-7 years, I sure don't want to bork an engine because to my eye the belts look ok. I also found another site www.usedcarsfsbo.com which appears to be pretty accurate regarding sold prices for cars. Most likely I'm going to pass on this one but am applying everything I'm learning so my convo's with owners are getting better and I'm asking the right questions. If I don't like the answers, thanks for your time and I'm moving on to the next one. While I know (and expect) I'm going to get a 348 with some issues, I'd like to keep them annoying rather than needed in the first year so I can actually enjoy driving it a bit.
Hi David, As of this evening, the 31st of March, are you still looking for a 348 to join your family? I do know of an amazing vehicle - that is available...... below http://ferrarichat.com/forum/vbclassified.php?do=ad&id=9211 Cheers, Hank - and feel free to PM me - - as I know the owner and I know the car.
David, Where in Maryland are you located? I agree with Hank. The car linked above is about as good as it gets. Plus, Chris (VTC) is a great guy and honest seller. I have done several transactions with him, and highly reccomend considering his car. It might be the only Ferrari I'd buy without a PPI.
Hank, I have a verbal agreement on one -pending a satisfactory PPI and L/C test... I'll be joining the brotherhood. But thanks.. I saw VTChris's car the other week when he initially listed it and then when he brought it back. It looks like a phenomenal car. David
David - Mozel on your pending purchase. A whole bunch of us are here for you, if you have questions.. Cheers, Hank

LISTED MY F355 FOR SALE: $59,995. (read the details) http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vbclassified.php?do=ad&id=9340 EDIT: That last pic of the center console has an error in it. I had just wiped things off with a damp rag. There are NO MARKINGS on the ashtray. I also notice the floor mats look grey....I assure you they are blue with NO Markings or discolorations. I will have to re-take that pic. Setting that price was pretty difficult considering what I have done to sort her. Looking at all the other F355s for sale on all the regular sites, I think $60k is fair as most of the 355s for sale have all the original headers/cats/F1 pump, etc. I guess we will see what the market is. I would rather sell it to an FChatter who I know will appreciate all that she is. Hence, why I have only listed her for sale on this site.
Getting a PPI done on a 348 and was looking for a fellow F-chatter who may be in the area. Shoot me a PM please. Thanks. David
I just placed an ad for a 1992 348 TS, please view Ferrariads for details. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vbclassified.php?do=ad&id=9363 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great looking car William! I think I would get a metallic 348 if I get back into the market, but it will probably be a year or so until that happens. I think you have a good price on your car, it should sell pretty quickly. BT
Fly Yellow, Black German cloth conv top and black interior new Mich PS-2 tires and new Cappy-3, all service docs with Ferrari history all deals will be done in person, car is in my garage in Cali price to include a full PPI and shipping anywhere in US (510) 673-5479 $67,500
I was asking $30,000 for the car, will take $25,000. Excellent starter Ferrari for someone wants to get into ownership. I'd hate to send this off to a wholesaler & rather have it sold to a enthusiast. Send me an IM if interested.
Hello, my name is Angelo and this is my very first post. I am looking at purchasing an F355 with a manual transmission and black interior. My budget is around $50K and I will purchase immediately. I would prefer a blue Berlinetta, but other colors or Spiders will do. Please email me with details at [email protected] if you would like to sell. Thank you so much!
